We've been treated to five brilliant games in the limited-overs series, all finished in the final overs bar one, which was the second to last over. Just quality cricket. Hopefully we get another tight one today.

Her unbeaten century may have come in vain but Nat Sciver-Brunt was in incredible form at the Ageas Bowl.

England are likely to need another performance of that quality - be it from Sciver-Brunt or elsewhere - if they are to level the series...

This summer's Ashes has been the "best series ever in women's cricket history", says England captain Heather Knight.

Australia retained the urn after their thrilling last-ball victory in the second one-day international at the Ageas Bowl.

England have not won the Ashes for a decade, but both sides have played their part in a captivating series that saw Australia surge ahead with a six-point lead in the multi-format contest, before England's three consecutive white-ball wins drew them level.

"It has been a ridiculous series, hasn't it?" said Knight on BBC Test Match Special.

Australia captain Alyssa Healy: "We're going to have a bowl. Why not, we haven't done it a lot this trip, try and get the most out of the conditions.

"It's a beautiful place to play cricket, hopefully we can chase."

Do you feel your positive-minded team talk at the Ageas Bowl is the best way to go with this team? "100%, that's what we've been really good at. Everyone is enjoying being in the middle of that challenge. It's really important that we want to get the job done."

Team news? "We're unchanged, we've got 40 overs of spin and 40 overs of pace in the line-up."

England captain Heather Knight: "I was going to have a bowl as well but I don't mind too much.

"It's usually a pretty good wicket down here at Taunton, the runs away pretty fast so we'll try to put a good score on the board.

"We've got the opportunity to win (the ODI series) 2-1 and that's all we've talked about.

"It's quite a quick turnaround with just two days between games and travel but we've regrouped brilliantly. Obviously quite disappointed losing such a close game the other day, it can take a bit out of you.

"It's all about our character today with the ODI series on the line. We still feel like we haven't played our best cricket so we want to show this very good Taunton crowd what we can do today.

"Unfortunately Sarah Glenn has had to have her appendix out so Charlie Dean comes in. Gutted for Glenny but a brilliant player to come in."

  7. Australia win the toss and bowlpublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 18 July 2023

Up goes the coin, Alyssa Healy calls tails and it comes down a tail.

Slight confusion as Heather Knight thought Healy had called heads - there's a real end of term feel to this toss!

But, to be clear, Australia have won the toss and will have a bowl.

For England, the dream is over. Australia clung on in another nail-biter on Sunday to retain the Ashes.

However, the series has not been won yet. Victory for England today at Taunton would see the multi-format series drawn 8-8 - some achievement for Heather Knight's side after going 6-0 down.

Having already won the T20 series, England have a chance to take the ODI series as well, so there is still plenty to play for!
