  1. dropped catch

Harris dropped on 17published at 19.1 overs

Grace Harris tries to smack Sophie Ecclestone into central London but skews it in the direction of Lauren Bell at short third.

The England seamer loses it in the floodlights though and it bursts through her hands.

She holds up a hand in apology and looks a little bit embarrassed to be honest.

  2. Aus 145-5published at 19 overs

    Shot!

Lauren Bell bangs another one into the pitch but Grace Harris takes on the pull and crunches it to the fence.

A big six balls coming up from Sophie Ecclestone.

It's not one of those where you sense it's a great injustice. That's missing off, missing leg and hitting middle. That's very, very out.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18.1 overs

    Perry lbw b Bell 34 (Aus 137-5)

Ah, Ellyse Perry can't review because DRS is down.

It looked plumb anyway so I don't think there is too much injustice there.

  7. Australia reviewpublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

Lauren Bell returns and she's got Ellyse Perry lbw!

    Or has she?

Perry eventually decides to review after a long chat.

Danni Wyatt had to make a decision as to whether to go for the catch and risk a visit to the orthodontist. She went for the catch and she managed to block it.

  9. Aus 137-4published at 18 overs

There's screams of "catchhh" as Ellyse Perry skews one up in the air but Danni Wyatt isn't able to make up the ground and take the catch.

Brilliant over for Australia, with 17 runs coming of it.

  10. Aus 134-4published at 17.4 overs

Momentary panic for England as Nat Sciver-Brunt slips in her follow through. She's fine to continue though and Tammy Beaumont on Sky Sports suggests it her right knee that is the issue and any damage was more to her left side then.

The England all-rounder again strays onto leg stump though, and Ellyse Perry is able to sweep for four more.

Dangerous for England. Perry only faced 27 balls at The Oval and hit 51. She's scored 27 off 21 tonight. She can start hitting sixes at will.

  12. Aus 128-4published at 17.2 overs

Ellyse Perry starts with back-to-back boundaries.

The first was tickled very fine, before a sweep pull to the square-leg boundary.

Nat Sciver-Brunt is coming back on. She's removed Beth Mooney and Ash Gardner so far.

This is her fourth over too. England must be happier with her knee.

  14. Aus 120-4published at 17 overs

Brilliant from Sophie Ecclestone. She concedes just four singles from the 17th.

To be so economical at this stage of the innings is invaluable.

  16. Aus 116-4published at 16 overs

    Perry 15, Harris 9

Good comeback from Dani Gibson, just four singles follow that first-ball six.

Four overs left. Australia will be looking to pass 150.

We didn't lose much time, but I wonder if it sparked some intensity in the Australian batters, knowing we could have more rain.

  18. 6 runs

    Aus 112-4published at 15.1 overs

We're playing again and Ellyse Perry has pulled the first ball from Dani Gibson for six.

    This could be fun.

    Brace yourselves.

While we're waiting, it should only be another minute or so, watch the first three wickets to fall.

  20. Postpublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

Cheers from the Lord's crowd as the hover cover is turned on and pushed away from the wicket.

We should be going again in the next few minutes.
