Numbers eight and nine Tom Taylor and Andrew Tye are in for Northants, but they are facing virtually mission impossible to win from here.

Just 94 needed off the last five overs!

They will need to pepper the boundaries and then some!

    Kent 228-3, Middlesex 189-6 (17.2 overs)

    Big wicket!

The 71-run stand between mostly Max Holden and Luke Holllman is over.

    Durham 178 v Derbyshire 148-3 (17 overs)

    Somerset 119-5 v Surrey 195-9

A third wicket for Sam Curran and it's the big one.

Tom Banton is deceived by a slower ball and Will Jacks takes the catch at mid-off.

Another setback for Somerset from the next delivery as Sean Dickson is run out as he attempts a second on a mis-field by Gus Atkinson.

Was the ball in Sam Curran's hands, though, when he broke the stumps at the bowler's end? A controversial moment.

  8. wicket

WICKET Malan c Kimber b Finan 79published at 20:59 British Summer Time 16 June 2023

    Yorks 158-1 v Leics 195-5

The England left-hander hit three sixes and nine fours in his 45-ball innings.

James Wharton is the new batter - perhaps you recall his 111 not out off 56 last Friday? He won't need that many tonight.

59 needed off four at Lord's.

    Surely not?!!!

Disheartened Kent have already been savagely pierced by a record 501-checkout by Surrey in the County Championship this week.

If they lost this too, there would be great pain felt in hop country.

    Northants 87-6 (12 overs) v Lancashire 204-7

Chris Lynn has gone for 21 after getting one all wrong in going for a big shot off Tom Hartley.

Someone will have to do something spectacular if Northants are to win this one.

They need 118 off eight overs.

  15. wicket

    WICKET - Whiteley b Currie 1published at 20:53 British Summer Time 16 June 2023

    Sussex 183-6 (20 overs), Hampshire 24-4 (3.4 overs)

Another wicket for Sussex. Another one for Brad Currie, his third, as he knoicks out Ross Whiteley's middle stump.

Poor Whiteley, who won the Blast wih Worcestershire in 2018 as well as with Hants for a second time 11 months ago, is hopelessly out of form. Just 76 runs in seven knocks now this season.

    Yorks 145-0 v Leics 195-5

    Adam LythImage source, Rex Features

There is still work to do but it is starting to look like when and not if Yorkshire will reach their target at Headingley.

Four for Adam Lyth off Callum Parkinson takes him to 70 not out at the end of the 13th over, with Dawid Malan on the same score.

Another 51 needed off 42 balls and all 10 wickets standing.

This is now a first wicket record for Yorkshire against any other side - beating 131 by Lyth and Phil Jaques against Derbyshire in 2012.

  18. Wickets tumble at Lord'spublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 16 June 2023

    Kent 228-3, Middlesex 118-5 (10.4 overs)

After their Kent shellacking, Ryan Higgins and Max Holden gave the hosts a bit of hope with a stand of 77.

But three wickets in 11 balls would appear to have closed the door.

Higgins (35) was quickly followed by John Simpson and Jack Davies, both removed by Kane Richardson.

But Holden remains, sniffing a century as well as a very unlikely victory.

  19. Postpublished at 20:49 British Summer Time 16 June 2023

    Essex 40-3 (4 overs) v Glamorgan 175-6

Jamie McIlroy has picked up his third wicket as he has dismissed Josh Rymell but Feroze Khushi is leading the charge.

He is on 29 off 10 balls and he has now been charged by Paul Walter.

They are ahead of the run-rate, but they cannot afford too many more wickets to fall.
