Two fours for Dawid Malan off Josh Hull takes him to 61 not out and Adam Lyth has 52.

This is now a record Yorkshire opening partnership against the Foxes in T20 cricket - beating the 116 by Andrew Gale and Phil Jaques on the same ground 11 years ago, and by Lyth and Tom Kohler-Cadmore at Leicester in 2019.

Frenetic stuff at Chelmsford as Feroze Khushi has reached 20 in two overs after both Robin Das and Michael Pepper had fallen to first-ball ducks in Jamie McIlroy's opening over.

    Bears 196-5 (20 overs), Worcestershire 175-6 (20 overs)

The Bears beat the Pears in the big derby at New Road.

Birmingham Bears go top of the North Group as they beat Midlands neighbours Worcestershire by 21 runs.

They edge above Notts who did noy play tonight, while it is a fourth straight defeat for the hosts.

A late cameo from Usama Mir (three sixes and a four in his 32, to match his T20 career-best) is not quite enough.

The Bears complete their first win at New Road since 2017 - and will hope to make it a double when the two sides meet again at Edgbaston a week tonight.

But, before then, Worcestershire go to Leicester on Sunday, then the Bears head to Chester-le-Street to face Durham this Tuesday night.
