    Scotland 56-1 (target 287)

Another fairly stress-free over of spin bowled by Andy McBrine - Scotland content to take just three singles.

  2. 6 runs

    Postpublished at 9 overs

    Scotland 53-1 (target 287)

Excellent batting from Chris McBride, who leans on a full ball from Mark Adair, taking four through the covers, before he latches onto a short ball and pulls powerfully for six.

He now has 37 from 31 balls.

  3. Postpublished at 8 overs

    Scotland 42-1 (target 287)

It's a watchful look at the first over of spin from McBride and McMullen, but they still take five from it.

    Mark Adair has switched ends.

  4. Postpublished at 7 overs

    Scotland 37-1 (target 287)

Chris McBride whips Josh Little for four through the off-side, as Scotland continue to tick along nicely.

Ireland were 26-3 at this stage, if you want a comparison. If you don't, well you've got one anyway.

We're going to have the first bowling change of this innings, as Andy McBrine is brought into the attack.

  5. Postpublished at 6 overs

    Scotland 30-1 (target 287)

Gorgeous from Brandon McMullen, who stands up tall and punches Mark Adair through cover point for four.

Mark Adair then thinks he's trapped Scotland's number three lbw, but Alex Wharf is unmoved.

  6. Postpublished at 5 overs

    Scotland 25-1 (target 287)

Josh Little continues to ask questions - he's a quality operator, but Scotland survive the over, taking a couple of singles where they can.

  7. Postpublished at 4 overs

    Scotland 23-1 (target 287)

Mark Adair is searching for the perfect delivery here, and is just straying onto the Scotland batters' pads somewhat.

Chris McBride doesn't need a second invitation and flicks over the infield for four.

McBride is then struck on his forearm by the final delivery of the over, but he's had some treatment and is good to continue.

  8. Postpublished at 3 overs

    Scotland 15-1 (target 287)

This is a good pitch, and right on cue, Chris McBride shows exactly that by punching Josh Little through the off-side for four.

Lovely shot, taken on top of the bounce.

  9. wicket

WICKET Cross lbw b Adair 4published at 1.4 overs

    Scotland 6-1 (target 287)

    Gone this time!

Mark Adair finds some swing, and sneaks one onto Matt Cross' front pad.

Alex Wharf has a long think before sending Cross on his way. The Scotland keeper looks to the skies in despair.

Brandon McMullen, who's had a decent day so far, is the new man at number three.

  10. Postpublished at 1 over

    Scotland 5-0 (target 287)

Chris McBride gets off the mark with a tuck off his hip for one, before Matt Cross picks up the first boundary of the reply.

It's a genuine edge that goes through the slips for four all along the ground.

Josh Little then has a big appeal for lbw turned down from the final delivery of the first. Eventful.

    Scotland 0-0 (target 287)

Sky put up a graphic on the TV earlier that showed Scotland's record chasing in ODI's in the last two years.

12 games, 11 wins. Not too shabby.

Can they make it 12 from 13? We're about to find out. Chris McBride and Matt Cross make their way to the middle.

It will be Josh Little to bowl the first over of the reply...

    Ireland 286-8 v Scotland

Right, I'm away for a cuppa and a bite to eat.

Don't worry though, I'll be back soon for Scotland's run chase.

  13. Postpublished at 50 overs

    Ireland 286-8 v Scotland

Josh Little slaps the final ball of the innings over Chris Sole's head for four.

They finish on 286, which is mightily impressive considering where they were.

However, Scotland shouldn't be too discouraged - as Curtis Campher and George Dockrell showed, there are runs to be had out there, on a good batting wicket.

The standout performer for Scotland was undoubtedly Brandon McMullen, who took 5-34 from his seven overs.

  14. wicket

WICKET Campher b Sole 120published at 49.5 overs

    Ireland 282-8 v Scotland

One shot too many. Campher attempts the Joe Root reverse scoop, but sees his stumps rearranged, and has to go for a magnificent 120, made from 108 balls.

  15. 6 runs

    Ireland 282-7 v Scotland

Dot to start, but the second delivery of the over sails miles over square leg for six.

Four more, down the ground this time, and a thick outside edge races away for four more.

Curtis Campher is seeing it like a football.

  16. Postpublished at 49 overs

    Ireland 268-7 v Scotland

Ireland take 10 from the 49th over, bowled by Safyaan Sharif.

Chris Sole will bowl the last...

  17. WICKET Delany c Berrington b McMullen 19published at 47.5 overs

    Ireland 256-7 v Scotland

Five for Brandon McMullen, and well deserved!

Gareth Delany can only miscue one straight up in the air, and the safe hands of Richie Berrington take a simple catch.

for Curtis Campherpublished at 47.2 overs

    Ireland 255-6 v Scotland

A stunning hundred, made under pressure!

He bunts Brandon McMullen through midwicket for four and raises his bat with glee.

How on earth did Ireland justify leaving him out against Oman?!

    Postpublished at 47 overs

    Ireland 250-6 v Scotland

    Shot!

Mark Watt had gone for just four from his first four deliveries, but Curtis Campher belts him for successive sixes over the leg-side.

He moves to 98 from 98 balls...

  20. Postpublished at 46 overs

    Ireland 234-6 v Scotland

    Four overs left now.

You'd think Ireland will want to score at around 10-an-over... what can they get to?

Mark Watt is on to bowl his final over.
