  1. Postpublished at 17 overs

    Sri Lanka 80-2 v Scotland

Wowee... how has that missed the stumps?!

Chris McBride seams one back through the gate, and it must have shaved the off-bail on its way through to Matt Cross.

There's still movement there for Scotland.

  2. 50 runs

for Pathum Nissankapublished at 16.1 overs

    Sri Lanka 78-2 v Scotland

Chris McBride replaces Ali Evans, but his first ball is a juicy half-volley outside off-stump, and Pathum Nissanka climbs in.

That's all along the carpet through extra cover, and it brings up a run-a-ball 50 for the Sri Lankan opener.

  3. Postpublished at 16 overs

    Sri Lanka 74-2 v Scotland

An expensive over from Jack Jarvis, whose first two overs were excellent, but he strays onto the pads here.

Two boundaries through the leg-side, and that's 11 from the over.

  4. Postpublished at 15 overs

    Sri Lanka 63-2 v Scotland

Ali Evans' line and length are bang on the money for the first five balls of his second set, and he almost picks up the wicket of Sadeera Samarawickrama - a thick inside edge somehow missing the stumps.

However, Evans strays onto Samarawickrama's pads with the final ball of the over, and it's whipped through square leg for four.

  5. Postpublished at 14 overs

    Sri Lanka 58-2 v Scotland

Excellent stuff from Jack Jarvis, who is tight to the stumps, not allowing the Sri Lankan batters to free their arms.

Nine of his 12 balls so far have been dots.

  6. Postpublished at 13 overs

    Sri Lanka 56-2 v Scotland

Ali Evans is on at the other end, and is belted through the covers a couple of times by Pathum Nissanka and Sadeera Samarawickrama, but there's a sweeper well placed.

Scotland continue to limit the scoring.

  7. Postpublished at 12 overs

    Sri Lanka 52-2 v Scotland

Jack Jarvis is into the attack for Scotland, one of several youngsters that have broken into the national side over the past year or so.

He shows some youthful exuberance first up, bowling an excellent yorker that has Pathum Nissanka jamming the bat down, and the 20-year-old backs that up, going for just three runs in the over.

  8. Postpublished at 11 overs

    Sri Lanka 49-2 v Scotland

Chris Sole gets a sixth over as Scotland seek a third Sri Lankan wicket, but a short ball allows Pathum Nissanka to pull powerfully for four and relieve some pressure.

  9. Postpublished at 10 overs

    Sri Lanka 44-2 v Scotland

Another probing over from Brandon McMullen draws the powerplay to a close, and Scotland will be pleased with the first ten overs.

It's Sri Lanka's lowest powerplay score of this tournament so far, and Chris Sole has removed Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis to boot.

Pathum Nissanka is still there though having been dropped at slip - he has 29 from 33 balls.

  10. wicket

WICKET Mendis c Leask b Sole 1published at 8.4 overs

    Sri Lanka 43-2 v Scotland

    Kusal Mendis goes!

The Sri Lankan number three throws his hands at a slightly shorter, wider delivery from Chris Sole, and it flies to Michael Leask's left at backward point.

Leask parries it up in the air, and dives full-stretch to grab the rebound - excellent snaffle.

Mendis is out for one from 16 balls, and Sadeera Samarawickrama replaces him in the middle.

  11. Postpublished at 8 overs

    Sri Lanka 43-1 v Scotland

Brandon McMullen continues to ask questions of the Sri Lankan batters, and again finds the outside edge, but it's wide of slip and runs away for four fortuitous runs.

McMullen has his hands on his hips - he cannot believe he's wicketless.

  12. Postpublished at 7 overs

    Sri Lanka 37-1 v Scotland

Another quiet over, with just one run coming from Chris Sole's latest set.

Scotland would love another wicket or two in the powerplay.

  13. Postpublished at 6 overs

    Sri Lanka 36-1 v Scotland

Incredibly tidy stuff from Brandon McMullen, who continues to swing this white ball.

Just the one run from the over.

  14. Postpublished at 5 overs

    Sri Lanka 35-1 v Scotland

Chris Sole is operating at around 140 kph, which is around 87 mph in English - you can understand why it burst through Dimuth Karunaratne's defences.

That pace has Kusal Mendis looking slightly uncomfortable, but the diminutive number three gets off the mark with a thick edge down to third.

  15. wicket

WICKET Karunaratne b Sole 7published at 4.2 overs

    Sri Lanka 34-1 v Scotland

The left-hander can't make the most of his reprieve!

Chris Sole gets his length right, nips one back at Dimuth Karunaratne, and it's chopped onto the stumps.

A big wicket for Scotland - it brings Kusal Mendis to the crease.

  16. dropped catch

Karunaratne dropped on 7published at 4 overs

    Sri Lanka 28-0 v Scotland

Brandon McMullen continues to find just enough movement, and this time finds the inside edge of Dimuth Karunaratne's bat.

Matt Cross, standing up to the stumps, can't cling on, and both Sri Lankan openers have been put down in the same over.

  17. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 3.2 overs

    Sri Lanka 24-0 v Scotland

A tough chance, but down it goes...

Brandon McMullen shapes one away from Pathum Nissanka, finds the outside edge, but Mark Watt can't get down quickly enough to his left.

    Nissanka gets a life.

  18. Postpublished at 3 overs

    Sri Lanka 21-0 v Scotland

Chris Sole can be a real handful, and he shows that with a couple of sharp deliveries that have Dimuth Karunaratne hopping around.

However, there's a couple of shorter deliveries that the Sri Lankan openers are able to pull to the square leg fence.

    10 off it.

  19. Postpublished at 2 overs

    Sri Lanka 11-0 v Scotland

Brandon McMullen is straight into his work, finding movement and targeting the stumps with wicket-keeper Matt Cross up to the stumps.

He just pushes one a wee bit fuller though, and Pathum Nissanka belts it back down the ground for four.

    Lovely shot.

  20. Postpublished at 1 over

    Sri Lanka 7-0 v Scotland

It's a decent first over from Chris Sole, bowling with good pace, but Pathum Nissanka is a quality operator and he takes seven from it.

A handsome drive over the top brings two, before he guides down to third for four more, and then pinches a quick single into the leg side.

Brandon McMullen, Scotland's bright young thing, will open up from the other end.
