  1. wicket

WICKET Berrington c Kaia b Williams 7published at 31.3 overs

    Scotland 118-4 v Zimbabwe

    Sean Williams strikes again.

It's a poor shot from Richie Berrington, not quite committed to it, and the Scotland skipper chips one straight to Innocent Kaia on long-off.

Tomas Mackintosh joins George Munsey with the Scots in a spot of bother.

  2. Postpublished at 30 overs

    Scotland 114-3 v Zimbabwe

There's an old adage in 50-over cricket that you tend to double your score at 30 overs.

Would you be content if Scotland reached 228 from their 50 overs? Or do they need more against a strong Zimbabwean batting lineup?

  3. Postpublished at 29 overs

    Scotland 109-3 v Zimbabwe

Another tight over from Sikandar Raza, as the pressure on Scotland continues to grow.

  4. wicket

WICKET McMullen c Muzarabani b Williams 34published at 27.1 overs

    Scotland 105-3 v Zimbabwe

    The big wicket.

McMullen looks to break the shackles with a big shot over the leg side, but doesn't quite catch it, and Blessing Muzarabani makes good ground to his right to take the catch.

Richie Berrington comes to the middle - Scotland could do with a captain's knock here.

  5. Postpublished at 27 overs

    Scotland 105-2 v Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe's spinners are really squeezing now - Sikanadar Raza's latest over goes for just two.

    Who will blink first?

  6. Postpublished at 26 overs

    Scotland 103-2 v Zimbabwe

George Munsey plays all around one that skids on from Sean Williams, and there's a big appeal for lbw, but the umpire isn't convinced.

Replays show the ball was missing leg, and Craig Ervine was correct not to review.

  7. wicket

WICKET Cross b Williams 38published at 25.1 overs

    Scotland 102-2 v Zimbabwe

The slog-sweep brought Matthew Cross four in Sean Williams' previous over, but it brings his downfall here.

He makes no contact and is clean bowled for 38.

George Munsey joins Brandon McMullen in the middle, with a promising platform in place.

  8. ouch!

    Postpublished at 24.1 overs

    Scotland 100-1 v Zimbabwe

Sikandar Raza has done himself a mischief here, trying to field the ball off his own bowling.

He's caught a painful one on the end of his finger, and is receiving treatment.

  9. Postpublished at 24 overs

    Scotland 99-1 v Zimbabwe

Matthew Cross has had enough of knocking it about, and slog-sweeps powerfully for four through midwicket.

    He's on to 36 from 70 balls.

  10. Postpublished at 23 overs

    Scotland 94-1 v Zimbabwe

Sikandar Raza is into the attack for the first time today, a man with strong ties to Scotland.

He studied software engineering at university in Glasgow, and played cricket for various club sides in the west, including Weirs, Prestwick and Ayr.

Not many have played for those three and the Punjab Kings, I'd wager.

  11. Postpublished at 22 overs

    Scotland 91-1 v Zimbabwe

Sean Williams is into the attack in place of Wellington Masakadza - left-arm offies replacing left-arm offies.

His first delivery is a real loosener, and Brandon McMullen sweeps powerfully behind square for four.

Matthew Cross is struggling to move up through the gears though, and lets out a cry of frustration at a mistimed pull shot.

  12. Postpublished at 21 overs

    Scotland 85-1 v Zimbabwe

    Hello, Brando!

A textbook drive flies through extra cover for four, before Scotland's number three climbs into another full delivery, belting it through the covers for four more.

Nine off the over, and Brandon McMullen now has 25 from just 18 balls.

  13. Postpublished at 20 overs

    Scotland 76-1 v Zimbabwe

Four singles from Wellington Masakadza's latest over.

He throws the fifth ball of the set up, giving it plenty of air, but Matthew Cross refuses to take the bait.

  14. Postpublished at 19 overs

    Scotland 72-1 v Zimbabwe

Brandon McMullen isn't worried about that drop. He dances down the track and deposits Chatara over mid-on for four.

It's a glorious shot, that of a man in form.

  15. dropped catch

McMullen dropped on 6published at 18.2 overs

    Scotland 68-1 v Zimbabwe

A big moment in this game, perhaps.

Tendai Chatara again brings one back, and finds the inside edge of Brandon McMullen's bat, but Joylord Gumbie cannot cling on.

It runs away for four to rub salt in the wound.

  16. Postpublished at 18 overs

    Scotland 64-1 v Zimbabwe

Wellington Masakadza continues to give nothing away.

The left-arm spinner is varying his speed and flight nicely, asking questions of the batters.

  17. wicket

WICKET McBride b Chatara 28published at 16.1 overs

    Scotland 56-1 v Zimbabwe

    Bowled through the gate.

Tendai Chatara seams one back, and beats Chris McBride all ends up.

The Scotland opener has to go for 28, and Brandon McMullen joins Matthew Cross in the middle.

  18. Postpublished at 16 overs

    Scotland 56-0 v Zimbabwe

Scotland continue to milk Wellington Masakadza, taking four from the over.

It's all very pedestrian at the moment, but that's not affecting the large home crowd, who are singing their hearts out in the stands.

  19. Postpublished at 15 overs

    Scotland 52-0 v Zimbabwe

An eventful over from Tendai Chatara.

First, Chris McBride chips one just over the bowler's head and just short of mid-off, and Matthew Cross has to dive to make his ground having been ball-watching.

Chatara then nips one back into Cross' pads and thinks he has his man, but the ball was doing too much and would have missed leg-stump.

Cross, perhaps feeling a slight bit of pressure, then has a giant swipe at one and makes no contact.

    Breathe.

  20. Postpublished at 14 overs

    Scotland 50-0 v Zimbabwe

Chris McBride and Matthew Cross continue to push the singles, and bring up their 50 partnership.

When will they look to put the foot down?
