1. Postpublished at 21 overs

    Scotland 92-3 v Netherlands

The final ball of the 21st over shoots along the ground, and Richie Berrington does well to drop his bat on it.

More evidence of this pitch's tricky nature.

  2. Postpublished at 20 overs

    Scotland 90-3 v Netherlands

Saqib Zulfiqar's first poor delivery is put away for four by Brandon McMullen.

Full, down the leg-side, and McMullen pounces on it to sweep past short fine-leg.

    10 off the over.

  3. Postpublished at 19 overs

    Scotland 80-3 v Netherlands

Brandon McMullen skips down to Bas de Leede, who spots him coming and bangs one in short.

No bother for McMullen, who pulls handsomely for four. Pietersenesque, that.

A wide down the leg-side means that five runs come from De Leede's fifth.

  4. Postpublished at 18 overs

    Scotland 75-3 v Netherlands

Saqib Zulfiqar continues to give nothing away, but Richie Berrington and Brandon McMullen are content to take the singles on offer.

  5. drinks break

    Drinks breakpublished at 17 overs

    Scotland 72-3 v Netherlands

The slow nature of this wicket, and indeed the variable bounce on display is evidenced by a short of a length delivery from Bas de Leede that Brandon McMullen punches aerially through the covers for four.

Max O'Dowd was interested at short extra cover for a split-second.

Anyhow, McMullen moves to 30 from 44 balls, and it's time for a drink.

    I'm away for a cuppa.

  6. Postpublished at 16 overs

    Scotland 67-3 v Netherlands

Saqib Zulfiqar's leg-spin is into the attack, and he's landing them nicely.

Three runs from his first over, and perhaps the most speculative appeal I've ever seen for lbw.

Pitched a good couple of feet outside leg...

  7. Postpublished at 15 overs

    Scotland 64-3 v Netherlands

Richie Berrington defends his first ball back to Bas de Leede, and that's the end of the 15th over.

Scotland could do with a captain's knock here.

  8. wicket

WICKET Munsey c Edwards b De Leede 9published at 14.5 overs

    Scotland 64-3 v Netherlands

There's the tiniest wiggle on Ultraedge as the ball passes the gloves, and Munsey will have to go.

    He shakes his head ruefully.

  9. Umpire reviewpublished at 14.4 over

    Scotland 64-2 v Netherlands

Scott Edwards wants a second look at this...

George Munsey attempts to pull a short ball from Bas de Leede, and the Dutch wicket-keeper thinks he got a tickle on it.

The bowler didn't appeal at all.

  10. Postpublished at 14 overs

    Scotland 63-2 v Netherlands

A low-key over from Aryan Dutt - just a couple of singles from it.

  11. Postpublished at 13 overs

    Scotland 61-2 v Netherlands

Some sloppy fielding from Netherlands sees Scotland come through for an overthrow, and the next ball is tickled down to fine-leg for four by George Munsey.

    Seven from it in total.

  12. 6 runs

    Postpublished at 12 overs

    Scotland 54-2 v Netherlands

Brandon McMullen uses his feet, and punches Aryan Dutt over long-off for the first six of the contest.

It's a beautiful shot, not trying to overhit, and showing the full face of the bat - he holds the pose for good measure, and well he might.

    The boy can play.

  13. dropped catch

Munsey dropped on 0published at 11.3 overs

    Scotland 48-2 v Netherlands

George Munsey is the new man, and he doesn't want to let Aryan Dutt settle into his work.

Scotland's powerfully southpaw attempts to reverse sweep over short third, but doesn't get all of it.

His heart will have stopped for a second, but the fielder can only tip it over the bar, and he gets off the mark fortuitously.

  14. wicket

WICKET McBride c Van Beek b De Leede 32published at 11 overs

    Scotland 46-2 v Netherlands

Shot! Sheer class from Chris McBride, who hits through the line of Bas de Leede's second delivery, and takes four down the ground.

He's gone now though, and he'll be gutted.

It's a short ball from De Leede, which sits up nicely, but McBride can only pick out the fielder at short midwicket.

  15. Postpublished at 10 overs

    Scotland 40-1 v Netherlands

Chris McBride allows himself a couple of sighters at Clayton Flyod, and then springs into action.

First, a gorgeous square drive skips away for four, before the young Scotland opener pulls aerially for four more.

Nine from the over, and that's the powerplay done. Scotland have recovered well from the loss of Matthew Cross in the first over.

  16. Postpublished at 9 overs

    Scotland 31-1 v Netherlands

Logan van Beek drops ever-so-slightly short again, and Chris McBride hacks one through the leg-side for four more. It's not pretty, but there aren't any pictures in the scorebook.

A risky single is then taken to mid-off, but the Dutch fielder fumbles and McBride breathes a sigh of relief.

Five from the over, and we're going to see spin for the first time - Clayton Floyd is into the attack.

  17. Postpublished at 8 overs

    Scotland 26-1 v Netherlands

Chris McBride's first boundary comes courtesy of a thick outside edge that goes over cover point and skips away to the fence - you take them.

McBride and Brandon McMullen exchange three singles to complete a productive over.

  18. Postpublished at 7 overs

    Scotland 19-1 v Netherlands

Logan van Beek is asking questions, operating on a good length and utilising the variable bounce on offer.

However, Brandon McMullen punishes the Dutch opening bowler when he drops short, belting a pull shot for four over midwicket.

  19. Postpublished at 6 overs

    Scotland 15-1 v Netherlands

Chris McBride and Brandon McMullen continue to consolidate after the early dismissal of Matthew Cross.

There was a scrambled single from the third ball of that Ryan Klein over, but McBride just about made his ground.

  20. Postpublished at 5 overs

    Scotland 13-1 v Netherlands

Just a couple of singles from Logan van Beek's third over.

Brandon McMullen found the middle of the bat on a couple of occasions there, but was foiled by some good Dutch fielding.
