  1. Originals 30-0published at 10 balls

Top-edged pull from Phil Salt but it's another boundary! A couple of bounces and it bobbles over the boundary cushion again.

Down the ground this time! One bounce for four!

And again! Three fours in a row to end an expensive first set from Sam Cook.

Salt is peppering the boundary early! (Sorry.)

  2. Originals 18-0published at 6 balls

Full ball to start from Sam Cook and Phil Salt pumps it over mid-off, one bounce for four

What a start! Salt has clearly taken being left out of the England white-ball squads personally.

  3. Originals 14-0published at 5 balls

Four more! Phil Salt ends the Luke Wood set by slapping the ball away past backward point.

He is really going for it early on!

  4. 6 runs

    Originals 10-0published at 4 balls

Whipped over deep mid-wicket for six!

That went a long way up from Phil Salt and it had the distance, too.

  5. Originals 4-0published at Ball 1

No messing about from Phil Salt!

He gets his foot to the pitch of the ball and nails it wide mid-off for four.

Here come the teams with Lewis Gregory leading out the Rockets before Originals openers Jos Buttler and Phil Salt march out to the middle.

This match is also a repeat of last year's final.

The Rockets came out on top in that one to lift The Hundred men's trophy and with both sides battling to make the top three, now would be a good time for the Originals to exact their revenge.

  8. Joe Root to open?published at 18:25 British Summer Time 17 August 2023

Joe Root is down to open for the Rockets on the team sheet but we'll have to wait a while to see if that is actually the case.

Both Colin Munro and Tom Kohler-Cadmore have opened in T20 cricket so either of them could join Alex Hales at the top of the order.

Trent Rockets: Alex Hales, Joe Root, Tom Kohler-Cadmore (wk), Colin Munro, Sam Hain, Lewis Gregory (c), Daniel Sams, Samie Patel, Ish Sodhi, Luke Wood, Sam Cook.

Manchester Originals: Phil Salt, Jos Buttler (c & wk), Laurie Evans, Max Holden, Ashton Turner, Paul Walter, Jamie Overton, Usama Mir, Tom Hartley, Josh Tongue, Zaman Khan.

  10. 'A huge game for us'published at 18:21 British Summer Time 17 August 2023

Manchester Originals captain Jos Buttler: "We would have batted, it looks a bit dry and we've had success as a team batting first so we're comfortable with it.

"Pretty much [a must-win game][, they all are. The table is so tight but we've got three games left, we'll take them one at a time but it's a huge game for us this evening."

  11. 'We need to improve in the powerplay'published at 18:19 British Summer Time 17 August 2023

Trent Rockets captain Lewis Gregory: "It is traditionally a difficult ground to defend on so hopefully we can bowl well and then chase them down.

"We need to get going with the bat first up, we've struggled in the powerplay so far but someone has always dug us out with the bat in the games we've won."

  12. Rockets win the toss and bowlpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 17 August 2023

Jos Buttler calls 'heads', the coin comes down 'tails' and Lewis Gregory confirms that Trent Rockets are going to bowl first.

Two changes for both sides. Dawid Malan and John Turner miss out for the Rockets with Sam Hain and Sam Cook coming into the XI.

Max Holden and Zaman Khan are in for Ben Raine and Josh Little, who is away with Ireland, for the Originals.

It's time for part two of today's Hundred double-header as Trent Rockets take on Manchester Originals in Nottingham.

After the Rockets thrashed the Originals in the women's game, it's time for the men's contest and there is plenty to play for.

Only three points separate second and eighth in the table with both Rockets and Originals locked on five points, a win would take either side level on points with Southern Brave in second and to within two of leaders Oval Invincibles.
