That's all from the first of four games today. Trent Rockets kept their knockout hopes alive and denied Birmingham Phoenix a first win of the tournament.

You can read Tom Mallows' report on that here.

We'll be back very shortly for the men's game at Trent Bridge, which is also live on BBC Two.

Join us here at 14:15 BST for that - and we'll also have updates from Southern Brave v Oval Invincibles in the women's competition.

    See you shortly!

  2. 'We'll keep putting pressure on Fire'published at 13:54 British Summer Time 19 August 2023

Trent Rockets captain Nat Sciver-Brunt on Sky Sports: "We were very happy to have the new batter on strike, it gives Amy [Jones] less chance to get back on.

"She's been stranded a couple of times. We were very happy to have Sterre Kalis on strike."

On Katherine Sciver-Brunt's last game at Trent Bridge: "Everyone is really happy for her. She's not really focused on it that much because of her hip injury.

"But I did see her getting a little bit emotional when it was announced after her last five balls. I'm sure it'll sink in soon."

On Bryony Smith: "She's been really consistent for us over the last two years with bat and ball. It's easy when you've got five bowlers bowling really well and she's really taking the game away from teams."

On qualification hopes: "It was one percent before the game started. I don't know where it's at now. We'll go to The Oval and try to recreate what we had today and keep putting pressure on Welsh Fire."

It got much closer than they might have liked but Trent Rockets got over the line in the end.

There was some impressive fielding in there - sometimes to make up for some rather less good work just before - as was the case in the run out of Eve Jones, moments after she survived a missed stumping.

Lizelle Lee did make up for that stumping error by catching Sophie Devine. The wicketkeeper took the catch after the ball hit her flush on the grille of the helmet!

Match Hero Bryony Smith: "It was a good day. It's been a good few days for us as a team and we're making sure we're still in it.

"We know our job as openers is to score quickly and we're looking to take the really positive option all the time and score runs.

"They bowled really well towards the end, taking all the pace off the ball and it was hard to score. We got up to a good score in the end.

"It was a bit closer than we hoped at the end but we were calm. We knew what we wanted to do and it came off. I was just concentrating on executing my plans in the final set and thankfully it went our way today."

Bryony Smith held her nerve at the end for Trent Rockets.

She got the runs with the bat and then finished the job for her side with the ball.

Rockets stay fourth but are now just two points off Welsh Fire in third, albeit having played a game more.

Just a single and Trent Rockets are still alive in The Hundred!

Steere Kalis could have left it and let it go down leg for a wide but she instinctively jabbed the bat at it and the ball trickled out to deep mid-wicket.

Phoenix have come so close but are still winless in this year's competition.

That was great awareness from Katherine Sciver-Brunt. She absolutely fanged it at the stumps.

She's still got it in the field!

    Arlott run out (K Sciver-Brunt) 9 (Phoenix 106-4)

Run out trying to sneak an overthrow!

Amy Jones was on strike, got an inside edge and they took a very quick single.

Jones would have been out with a direct hit and when Kirstie Gordon fumbles the ball, they go back for the second.

However, Katherine Sciver-Brunt collects the ball and throws down the stumps. Emily Arlott is gone as KSB punches the air in celebration.

  20. Phoenix 103-3published at 15 balls left

    Need 32 more

Very good finish from Alana King. Phoenix need 32 from 15 balls.

It's doable but that a tough ask.
