Nice five from Alana King but still no breakthrough for the Rockets.

Eve Jones almost offered a chance as she whipped the ball over mid-wicket. It was in the air but there was just enough elevation to clear the fielder in the ring.

It is definitely Trent Rockets' powerplay because now they've got Alana King coming on, a well-established bowler, and Birmingham Phoenix are behind the game.

Five from Katherine Sciver-Brunt latest five and that's the end of the powerplay.

Hardly a lightning start from the Phoenix but they've not lost a wicket so that's something.

    Here comes Alana King...

  4. Phoenix 16-0published at 80 balls left

    Target 135

Good start from Kirstie Gordon. Just three runs from her first five-ball set.

Rockets have done a good job of keeping things quiet during the powerplay. Five balls left for Phoenix to make the most of the field restrictions.

Birmingham Phoenix are still winless this season and have faced particular difficulities against spin.

They have lost 15 wickets against spin at an average of 14.40 and a strike-rate of 105.

That is the second-lowest on both average and strike-rate among all teams this season.

    Four more!

Katherine Sciver-Brunt went to her full run-up but then overpitches and Sophie Devine thumps a straight drive right back past her. Super shot.

  8. Phoenix 9-0published at 86 balls left

    Target 135

Sophie Devine hits the first boundary of the Phoenix innings.

It was in at the body from Katherine Sciver-Brunt, who was coming off a shortened run, and Devine pulled it in front of square for four.

  9. Phoenix 2-0published at 90 balls left

    Target 135

Superb from Alex Stonehouse. Just two runs from her first 10 balls.

That's really ramped up the pressure on Phoenix early in the chase.

Katherine Sciver-Brunt will bowl the next set.

  10. Phoenix 1-0published at 92 balls left

    Target 135

Brilliant from Alexa Stonehouse. She's continued for another five balls and beats Eve Jones with a lovely delivery that swings away from the left-hander to beat the edge.

    And again. Excellent bowling.

  11. Phoenix 1-0published at 95 balls left

    Target 135

Birmingham Phoenix are up and running Sophie Devine drives nicely back past Alexa Stonehouse for a single.

That's the only run from a very tidy opening set from the Rockets left-arm seamer.

Thanks, Tom. We're ready for the chase.

Phoenix are already out but can they knock off these runs and claim their first win of the tournament?

Or will Rockets keep their knockout hopes alive in what is a must-win game for them? Alexa Stonehouse will bowl the first five...

Phoenix bowler Emily Arlott: "Bryony got them off to an absolute flyer an it looked like they were getting 180-200 at one point, so I was sweating a bit then.

"The results haven't gone our way but we have backed what we are doing and it is nice to see some of our plans come off and restrict them to 50 less than they were looking at at one stage."

The Rockets innings was all about Bryony Smith, who smashed a fine 64 from 40 balls including 10 fours - more than the rest of her team-mates managed combined.

She needed a bit of luck along the way though. Sophie Devine, look away now.

That was a good catch. She'll be relieved because she'll be disappointed with the one she dropped earlier.

That went to her quick but she went for the casual one-handed grab.

Jo Gardner chases a wide one from Emily Arlott that finds the outside edge and Jones takes the catch one-handed diving to her right.

  19. Rockets 129-5published at 95 balls

This has been a fine comeback by Phoenix as Rockets were looking set for a huge score earlier in their innings but have been pegged back.

Katie Levick ends with 2-30 from her 20 balls, cementing herself as Phoenix's top wicket-taker this this year's tournament.
