Nice five from Alana King but still no breakthrough for the Rockets.

Eve Jones almost offered a chance as she whipped the ball over mid-wicket. It was in the air but there was just enough elevation to clear the fielder in the ring.

It is definitely Trent Rockets' powerplay because now they've got Alana King coming on, a well-established bowler, and Birmingham Phoenix are behind the game.

Hardly a lightning start from the Phoenix but they've not lost a wicket so that's something.

Birmingham Phoenix are still winless this season and have faced particular difficulities against spin.

They have lost 15 wickets against spin at an average of 14.40 and a strike-rate of 105.

That is the second-lowest on both average and strike-rate among all teams this season.

Katherine Sciver-Brunt went to her full run-up but then overpitches and Sophie Devine thumps a straight drive right back past her. Super shot.

It was in at the body from Katherine Sciver-Brunt, who was coming off a shortened run, and Devine pulled it in front of square for four.

That's really ramped up the pressure on Phoenix early in the chase.

Brilliant from Alexa Stonehouse. She's continued for another five balls and beats Eve Jones with a lovely delivery that swings away from the left-hander to beat the edge.

That's the only run from a very tidy opening set from the Rockets left-arm seamer.

Phoenix are already out but can they knock off these runs and claim their first win of the tournament?

Or will Rockets keep their knockout hopes alive in what is a must-win game for them? Alexa Stonehouse will bowl the first five...

Phoenix bowler Emily Arlott: "Bryony got them off to an absolute flyer an it looked like they were getting 180-200 at one point, so I was sweating a bit then.

"The results haven't gone our way but we have backed what we are doing and it is nice to see some of our plans come off and restrict them to 50 less than they were looking at at one stage."

The Rockets innings was all about Bryony Smith, who smashed a fine 64 from 40 balls including 10 fours - more than the rest of her team-mates managed combined.

She needed a bit of luck along the way though. Sophie Devine, look away now.

New batter Alana King slices the ball into the off side and a misfield allows Rockets to end the innings with two runs, lifting them up 134-6.

It means Phoenix need 135 to win their first match of this year's tournament.

That was a good catch. She'll be relieved because she'll be disappointed with the one she dropped earlier.

That went to her quick but she went for the casual one-handed grab.

This has been a fine comeback by Phoenix as Rockets were looking set for a huge score earlier in their innings but have been pegged back.

Katie Levick ends with 2-30 from her 20 balls, cementing herself as Phoenix's top wicket-taker this this year's tournament.
