Dawson b Ferguson 24 (Spirit 102-7)
Six and out for Liam Dawson.
Superb slower ball yorker from Lockie Ferguson to deceive the batter and peg back off stump.
London Spirit sail past 100 as Liam Dawson hooks Lockie Ferguson over the pod and into the stands!
Full toss from Lockie Ferguson and Liam Dawson slices the ball away for four down to deep third!
And again! Almost identical, this time Dawson just sent the ball that bit finer.
Phenomenal stop from Roelof van der Merwe as he runs and puts in a Superman dive at long off.
That saves two runs and nearly brings about a run out as well.
Spirit have 10 balls left to get themselves up above 100.
Bopara 16, Dawson 5
Nearly another stunning catch from Glenn Phillips in the deep but this time the ball falls just short of him.
Six from Roelof van der Merwe's last set of five. We've got 15 balls left in the innings, will Spirit get themselves up to 100?
Edge from Ravi Bopara as he takes he attempts to club Roelof van der Merwe through the off side.
There's a big deviation and the ball just hits Joe Clarke. I don't think you can call that a drop. It would have been staggering if he'd even got a glove on it.
Liam Dawson is the new batter and is finding it difficult to even lay a bat on Lockie Ferguson.
After playing and missing at a slower ball to end the set, Dawson drops to his knees.
That about sums it up for Spirit.
Critchley c Phillips b Ferguson 21 (Spirit 74-6)
Brilliant catch from Glenn Phillips!
Matt Critchley took on the short ball but mistimed the pull shot.
Phillips had a lot of work to do, sprinting around to his left and then diving to take a superb grab just a few inches off the turf.
Great improvisation from Matt Critchley.
He cramped for room by a well-directed David Willey bumper but leans back and ramps it over the wicketkeeper for four.
These are all valuable runs for Spirit before the strategic timeout.
Short ball from David Willey and Matt Critchley launches it over square leg for six!
That's a bit hit.
Roelof van der Merwe does his economy rate the world of good in that 10-ball set.
Spirit are struggling to even reach three figures at this point.
Here's how David Payne picked up the wicket of Daryl Mitchell.
Brilliant stop on the rope from Matt Henry!
Roelof van der Merwe has continued, Matt Critchley hammers him in the air towards long on.
Henry has to be careful not to step on the rope as he jumps to try and take the catch. He gets both hands to the ball but ends up just having to push it back into play rather than taking the catch.
Superb fielding.
Spin is considerably simpler to play than seam on this surface based on the numbers so far.
The seamers have all gone at less than a run-a-ball, Roelof van der Merwe is going at more than two-a-ball.
Although, the spinner didn't help himself with those wides fives.
Five extremely useful runs for Spirit as Roelof van der Merwe bowls a leg-side wide and the ball beats Joe Clarke and runs away to the boundary.
Three singles from Matt Henry last five balls. He finishes with figures of 2-15 from 20 balls.
An impressive debut from the fast bowler.
Matt Critchley comes in for Spirit and starts by playing out two dot balls.
Very much in fitting with the rest of the innings.
Excellent set from David Payne.
Mitchell c Willey b Payne 15 (Spirit 43-5)
I spoke too soon!
David Payne bangs it in short, Daryl Mitchell takes it on with a pull shot but with the famously long square boundaries at Sophia Gardens, there was never enough on it.
David Willey is the fielder at deep backward square and takes the catch a few yards off the rope.
Nine runs from Roelof van der Merwe's set, that is about as good as it has got for London Spirit.
They are slowly rebuilding, though. They've gone 22 balls without losing a wicket after four went down in the first 28.
Lovely shot from Ravi Bopara, over extra cover for four!
We're seeing spin for the first time with Roelof van der Merwe bowling and, so far, it seems that bit easier to play than seam on this pitch.
