  1. Brave 42-2published at 35 balls

Slow and steady from Wyatt and Adams, but Superchargers are still searching for that third breakthrough.

The pitch doesn't look the easiest to bat on. Brave will probably be in the game with a score of around 130.

You can see from the surface that the batters are having to wait to generate some power. It's not the easiest pitch to score on.

  3. Brave 38-2published at 30 balls

Higham responds well, as Wyatt misses the free hit and just three more singles are taken.

  4. Brave 35-2published at 26 balls

    Oh dear.

Off-spinner Lucy Higham bowls a horrible full toss at Danni Wyatt's head.

Wyatt helps it on its way for four and will also get a free hit.

Here's how Superchargers got their perfect start.

  6. Brave 28-2published at 25 balls

Brave with a hint of acceleration, as Georgia Adams drives beautifully for four.

Danni Wyatt then gets a streak of luck as she edges one just past the keeper to the boundary.

Promising signs for Brave but the powerplay still belongs to Superchargers, with the enormity of the wickets of Mandhana and Bouchier.

Northern Superchargers are a team which has no baggage, no scars, so they can play their cricket without as much pressure as Southern Brave.

  8. Brave 18-2published at 20 balls

Kate Cross responds well, just two singles from the next four balls.

Can Superchargers wrap up a very successful powerplay?

That was all along the ground from Danni Wyatt, and controlled. That is important - how can you stay positive without being reckless.

  10. Brave 16-2published at 16 balls

    Shot!

A cover drive straight from the textbook from Danni Wyatt races away for four.

The Southern Brave bench are all looking a little bit more nervous now.

  12. Brave 12-2published at 15 balls

Superchargers continue to apply the pressure. Just three singles from Grace Ballinger's next five balls as Wyatt and Georgia Adams look to rebuild.

Southern Brave need to bat better. You should forget about setting targets in a final.

Kate Cross is doing what she does well by holding her length. You can see the Superchargers are up and about it because they know the doubts that will put in the minds of the batters to come.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 8 balls

    Bouchier c Armitage b Cross 4 (Brave 8-2)

Kate Cross strikes! Superchargers continue their perfect start!

Maia Bouchier played a couple of lovely shots down the ground but may have been getting a bit frustrated that none of them found the boundary.

She tries to hit Cross into the leg side but gets a leading edge and skipper Hollie Armitage takes a simple catch at cover.

Superchargers are firmly in control and Danni Wyatt is yet to even face a ball!

Kate Cross has not had a bad day with the ball in The Hundred this year. Her stock ball swings away but the wobble ball is dangerous. She's going to be vital for the Superchargers at the start of the innings. I think Southern Brave are the best team, but I have to go with my mate Kate and the Superchargers.

If you look back at previous finals batting first has always been in a challenge. You just hope Maia Bouchier continues the season she has been having now.

  18. Brave 6-1published at 5 balls

Maia Bouchier demonstrates her ability to hit straight by boshing her second ball down the ground, but it plugs in the outfield so it's restricted to just two.

  19. How's stat?!published at 14:18 British Summer Time 27 August 2023

Superchargers should look to protect the straight boundaries against Maia Bouchier.

In the Hundred this season, 48% of Bouchier's runs have come in the 'V' in front of the wicket. Protecting that area can potentially tie her down or lead to her dismissal.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2 balls

    Mandhana c Kelly b Ballinger 4 (Brave 4-1)

Four and out! Northern Superchargers with the HUGE wicket of Smriti Mandhana with the second ball of the game!

Ballinger pitches the ball up a bit more and tempts Mandhana into another drive, but it flies off the outside edge to Marie Kelly at short third,

Brave's form batter Maia Bouchier is at the crease early...
