That's the challenge of having too much pace. How did Glenn Phillips even contemplate that as a catch?
I love the intent but he's a long way out, it fell possibly three metres short.
Target 140
Something is happening pretty much every ball at the moment.
Dawid Malan gets a thin edge off the next ball and it dribbles away really fine for four.
He then clubs into the leg-side and Glenn Phillips almost loses all of his teeth as he tries to take a catch. He gets nowhere near it and the ball bounces past him and away for four.
Another good over for England, 15 from it.

Santner is not a big turner of the ball. On this occasion, Malan shimmied into line.
A one-two step and then straight down the ground.
Target 140
Mitchell Santner beats Dawid Malan with his first ball but the England left-hander responds by clubbing the next ball straight back over the spinner's head for four.
We're going to see spin in the powerplay as Tim Southee turns to left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner.
WinViz is 68-32 in England's favour at the moment.

It's magnificent.

It's always a surreal experience listening to Woody.
Target 140
Good comeback from Lockie Ferguson, just going for two through mid-wicket from the last three balls of the over.
A good over for England though, 16 from it.

A beautiful free flow of the bat. This is why he is so highly rated. This is just a super cricket shot.
The power over cover really is unique.
Target 140
Will Jacks!
Even better.
Lockie Ferguson goes full and Jacks just slices it over extra cover for six.
Unreal shot.

This is the talent of Will Jacks. He's so dominant through the off side. The timing and the power he can generate through that area make him so difficult to bowl to.
Target 140
Good from Will Jacks.
He uses the pace of Lockie Ferguson to drive over the covers for four, before giving himself some room and clubbing over mid-off for another boundary.

Malan, like plenty of others, has struggled for timing. That was off the lower half of the bat.

Malan wallops that to the leg-side as if to say, 'I didn't like that delay'.
Target 140
Shot!
A bit of length from Tim Southee and Dawid Malan plants his front foot down and whacks it over mid-wicket for four.
Lovely strike.
Here's how Jonny Bairstow was dismissed by Tim Southee for four.

Big swing from Malan, he tried to launch it out of Chester-le-Street but he couldn't do it.
Target 140
After sending down an off-side wide Adam Milne over compensates and Dawid Malan is able to work through mid-wicket for a couple.
Oh, it was a no-ball too, but Malan can't capitalise as he plays an ugly hoick at the free hit.
Malan was dropped by Trent Rockets in The Hundred so hasn't been in the best of form with the bat.
Mark Wood
England bowler on BBC Test Match Special
Adam Milne is proper fast.
