It was a real 'hit me' delivery. Adil Rashid has really got away with that!

We spent ages going on about bowling into the surface and seeing if there was any turn, but it's the full toss that does it!
Phillips c Brook b Rashid 22 (NZ 44-3)
Full toss... should be punished, gets the wicket!
England introduce spin at the end of the powerplay and their veteran spinner has Glenn Phillips out with his third delivery.
Probably not how he planned, he offers up a juicy full toss and the New Zealand batter's eyes light up - but he can only lift the ball into the hands of Harry Brook riding the boundary at long-on. The Yorkshireman checks himself to make sure he doesn't step back onto the rope, but he's well balanced it's a relatively simple take.

England want to build themselves a riches of fast bowlers and they have got some pretty good ones coming through.
James Anderson
England bowler on BBC Two
Just a bit too full from Brydon Carse and Glenn Phillips isn't missing out on that.
A technically perfect shot.
Four more for Phillips, too full from Carse and the New Zealand batter drives back down the ground.
That's the powerplay, and New Zealand have scored two more than England, albeit their opponents were without loss at this stage.
Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Two
The partnership is just starting to gather a little bit of momentum.
89mph straight away for Brydon Carse, but it's Phillips's turn to find four behind the wicket on the off-side.
A third successive four.
James Anderson
England bowler on BBC Two
Sam looks really disappointed but you can only laugh at those.
It's a knuckle ball that's come out all wrong but it can so easily happen.

That's a new one! Is that the worst delivery that has ever been bowled from the Jimmy Anderson end?
We've had Gus Atkinson steaming in with his 90mph deliveries and then Sam Curran arrives with his 62mph cutters. It must be really difficult facing for this New Zealand pair facing two very different bowlers.
That said, that's gone horribly wrong for Curran, the ball ballooning from his hand - it would have been a looping full toss on the stumps... if they were on the next pitch along.
The free hit goes unpunished, but Seifert then twice opens the face of the bat to guide the ball to the boundary from successive deliveries.

It has been a tremendous start from Gus Atkinson.
He is keeping his nerves in check on debut and keeping it simple.
"Excellent Gussy!" shouts captain Jos Buttler from behind the stumps.
The debutant holds for three singles. He looks positively relaxed running in, there's no whirling of limbs that you might see with some express pace men.

Glenn Phillips was one of the few New Zealand batters that was able to find any timing a couple of nights ago.
He looks in good touch.

England took three wickets in the powerplay at Chester-le-Street and have two in the first three overs here.
It's been a problem for England recently - they've averaged just 1.5 wickets per powerplay in T20s in the last four years.
It's something that they've been looking to improve and they've done it extremely well so far.
A first boundary for the Kiwis as Phillips times the ball well through point.
Tymal Mills
England pace bowler on BBC Two
It's very good use of the slower balls from Sam Curran.
Normally you want to swing the new ball but he's identified quickly that it isn't doing much, so he's gone to his variations early.
Glenn Phillips takes a single from his first delivery, his pull getting the single.
The New Zealand batters rattle through three more singles but are still boundary-less in this powerplay.

That is a really big wicket for England. If anyone was going to launch an onslaught, it was Finn Allen.
Allen c Jacks b Curran 3 (NZ 8-2)
Both the openers gone!
Short from Curran and Allen doesn't get on top of the pull shot, spooning the ball in the air for Will Jacks to catch, running backwards at mid-on.
A difficult chase has become even more challenging.
