This is a very good opportunity for Daryl Mitchell up the order.

It's a positive move - he is a key player and needs to face as many balls as possible.

Rehan Ahmed was the seventh England wicket to fall earlier.

Here's how the leg-spinner was run out on his first T20 appearance for England in this country.

Finn Allen has a very simple game plan and he is so talented.

He just needs to learn to balance his power with doing the basics right.

He looks very surprised there, as if he's thinking 'how have I missed that?'

    Bowled 'im!

Finn Allen played a beautiful straight drive down the ground for four after that first-ball boundary but now he's back in the shed.

It's an ugly heave from the opener and Luke Wood crashes into his off stump.

Does he need to play that shot with New Zealand going at 11 an over? Maybe not.

Double left-arm pace to start for England.

It's nothing more than a jab, like a backhand down the line.

    Pure power from Tim Seifert.

Sam Curran is going full, just searching for some early swing but there's none there.

    Target 176

Good first over from New Zealand.

Finn Allen follows the first-ball boundary with three more through the covers, before Tim Seifert gets off the mark with a crunching pull back down the ground.

Jos Buttler has emerged with the gloves, not Jonny Bairstow. More news when we get it.

    Thanks Ffion.

I thought England were well set for 200-plus at one point but it did get harder to bat throughout the innings.

Will that trend continue as the game progresses? It could end up being a good toss to win for England.

But credit to New Zealand's bowlers for their resilience after Bairstow's blistering start.

The spinners did the trick again, with Mitch Santner taking 3-30 and Ish Sodhi 2-21.

Can England's spinners do the same?

Here's Callum Matthews to take you through the Black Caps' chase of 176.

The way New Zealand bowled in the last 10 overs was spot on. They got their fields and execution spot on. The last three overs were perfect from Tim Southee and Matt Henry.

England don't have a very experienced bowling attack today so it is whether they can produce similar. It may be a big evening for the spinners.

Bit of a weird innings in the end.

England raced ahead, with Jonny Bairstow adding 73 from 41 balls while the rest of the line-up added 89 from 79 balls.

That was really impressive from New Zealand. Matt Henry was really clear on his plans, while Mitch Santner and Ish Sodhi were also forcing batters to hit to the long boundary.

We're in for a good game. I reckon that is around a par score.

That was a good recovery from New Zealand. They have fought back so well and found wickets regularly.

    Livingstone c Southee b Henry 26 (Eng 175-8)

New Zealand finish well thanks to a brilliant last over from Matt Henry, with two wickets and just four runs coming from it.

Full, wide and Livingstone clubs it firmly to Tim Southee.

England have a good total, but New Zealand arguably take the momentum into the chase after chipping away at the wickets column late in the innings.

  20. Eng 174-7published at 19.5 overs

Again, Henry nails his wide yorker and Livingstone can only manage a single.

Brydon Carse swings and misses at the next but they get through to the single.

Over to Livingstone again with one ball to go...
