  1. New Zealand set 227 to winpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 10 September 2023
    Breaking

Livingstone and Willey run hard off the final ball to get back for a two.

An excellent recovery from England, who end their 34 overs 226-7. Livingstone gets a deserved standing ovation as he ends not out on 95.

Considering England were 55-5 at one stage, that is a brilliant turnaround, primarily helped by Livingstone's and Sam Curran's performances with the bat.

  2. Eng 225-7published at 33.5 overs

A two down the leg side takes Livingstone onto 93. It looks like he will finish just shy of a century.

  3. Not outpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    England 221-7

Mitchell took the catch, but his foot did touch the sponge with the ball firmly in his hands.

It's a first ball six and perhaps, a fortunate escape for Willey.

It was a good take at long-off. The umpire review will have us double-check. Daryl Mitchell is an excellent fielder in the deep, we know he takes it cleanly it's just what happens with his feet after that.

Willey is caught on the boundary first ball by Mitchell, but did his foot touch the boundary? We're going upstairs.

That delivery was a game of cat and mouse. Southee followed Curran.

    Curran c Boult b Southee 42 (England 215-7)

No half-century for Sam Curran, but an impressive and important knock.

He went to ramp Southee's second ball, after slashing his first for a four. That ramp found Boult, who takes a comfortable catch.

David Willey walks out to bat with just four balls remaining.

  8. Eng 211-6published at 33 overs

A tidy end for Boult with the ball, he is bowled out on 3-37, his second-best ODI figures against England.

England score eight off that over, none via boundaries.

As England start their final over, Curran sits on 38, with Livingstone on 91 at the other end.

The pitch has been two-paced. We've seen some balls go through nicely, some others keep low. So it's not been the easiest pitch to bat on, as we saw at the beginning of the innings.

  10. 6 runs

    Eng 203-6published at 32 overs

    Another huge six from Livingstone!

He moves up to 88, brings up England's 200 and the 100-run partnership with a brilliant slash over the leg-side boundary.

Not how Matt Henry will have wanted to end his seven overs...

Trent Boult is about to bowl his final over.

Some brilliant fielding from Devon Conway on the boundary to stop an England four a few overs ago.

Liam Livingstone said he felt he needed time in the middle. 50-over cricket does offer you the opportunity to do that, and he seems to have benefited from it.

You end up playing at 70-80% when you have injuries like he's had, not quite bad enough to be ruled out. He looks back to his best now.

  13. Eng 192-6published at 31 overs

No boundaries come from that over and Boult has restricted England in that respect, but Livingstone and Curran have still scored eight in that over.

Matt Henry is about to bowl his final over at the other end, with Livingstone starting on strike with 79 on the board so far.

Sam Curran has impressed with the bat today and here he is hitting Ravindra for six.

There has definitely been a shift in mentality from Liam Livingstone and Sam Curran. They are swinging at every ball now and it has been pretty successful.

  16. Eng 184-6published at 30 overs

Livingstone and Curran are going for it as this innings gets nearer to a close. Back-to-back 13-run overs from England and their run rate is now north of six.

Trent Boult has two overs left to bowl and he is coming back into the attack, looking for his second ever four-wicket ODI haul against England.

  17. Eng 176-6published at 29.2 overs

    Mix-up!

Livingstone reaches 72 with a four after his low heave towards the leg-side is parried by Young, straight past Santner and into the rope. Those extra runs could be important!

Perhaps a fortunate escape for Livingstone. He hits one high but not that far off Santner's final ball of the over, but it lands safe.

That is Santner done with the ball, bowled out with figures of 1-38 off his seven overs, with England scoring 13 off his final over.

Sam Curran has timed that brilliantly. It was a bit of a drag down but Curran has whacked it.
