Target 283
The 100 partnership comes up between Conway and Ravindra, and while England haven't been at their best, they have been fantastic.
Even if the conditions change later on to suit the bowlers a bit more, they have done so well to get themselves so far ahead of the game.

It's not my first rodeo, I've seen this before and seen it turn to custard.
I'm just enjoying it at the moment. It's been wonderful from Ravindra.

These two left-handers are putting England to the sword.
Since Will Young got out to Sam Curran's first ball, this is probably the closest England have got to a 'chance'.
NZ 105-1
These two must be in some kind of competition, as Devon Conway also brings up his fifty from 36 balls.
It comes up in less convincing style than Ravindra's, edging past the keeper for four, but they've both been brilliant.
England haven't been able to get any control.
I'm now upset, having found out that Rachin Ravindra is only 23.
Sigh.
Anyway, to find out more about New Zealand's new superstar, you can read Sam Dalling's feature on him here.

It's been a magnificent partnership so far. They've shown patience and kept good balls out.
But as soon as England have missed, Conway and Ravindra have punished them.

Well, well, batting at number three with no Kane Williamson in the side, Rachin Ravindra has taken his opportunity.
That wasn't that bad a ball but he's clumped it for six!
NZ 99-1
What an innings this is, and what a way to reach the half-century!
Rachin Ravindra launches Moeen Ali into the stands for six, and reaches his fifty from just 36 balls.
Add the context that he is filling the huge void left by Kane Williamson's absence, and this is a gem of a knock.
We all love the scoops and the switch-hits, but sometimes you just can't beat a good cover drive.

Conway knows that he just has to get under it to get it over the shortest boundary at fine leg.
Rashid was groping one handed as he dived backward.
Conway 44, Ravindra 47
Up, up, up... and six!
Adil Rashid at deep fine leg is interested in the catch until the very last second when it evades his outstretched hand and flies over the ropes.
Anguish for Mark Wood.
Devon Conway has played the most glorious drives but isn't afraid to take on the short stuff, either.

That latest Conway straight drive has just received a round of applause from a section of the press box.
Another Devon Conway straight drive that has everybody purring.
Mark Wood, with steam coming from his ears, responds with a vicious bouncer that Conway just manages to evade.
It's all happening!
Target 283
Three dots to end the over from Moeen, but New Zealand still manage to take eight from it.
They are absolutely cruising at the end of the powerplay.
But this was where England started to get pegged back. It'll be interesting to see how they play the middle overs.

Fantastic batting. Every time England have missed Ravindra has hit it for four or six.
This'll be interesting. Here's Moeen Ali's spin.
His first ball is kept to two after some brilliant fielding from Liam Livingstone on the boundary, but the third is absolutely nailed over deep mid-wicket for six!
More runs for the ever-impressive Rachin Ravindra.
Rachin Ravindra has played some sumptuous shots.

Cleverly played by Conway. It's simply not running as England would want at the moment.
It's a bit of a nightmare so far.
