  1. Ned 158-5published at 32 overs

    Need 129 off 108 balls

A double change for Pakistan as Mohammad Nawaz comes on for Shadab Khan.

He drops a little short and Saqib Zulfiqar is able to get deep in his crease and heave him into the mid-wicket boundary.

He's on 10 off 17 balls. It's a tricky balance for him because he needs to hang around but he can't allow too much pressure to build either.

We can expect a lot of those toe-crushers from Shaheen in the latter stages of this game.

  3. Ned 152-5published at 31 overs

    Need 135 from 114 balls

Despite taking two wickets two overs ago and being in the middle of a gripping battle with Bas de Leede, Haris Rauf is taken out of the attack.

He does only have three overs left so Babar Azam wants to keep some of those in reserve for later on.

He is replaced by Shaheen Afridi. There's a huge appeal for lbw off the final ball of the over as the left-armer sends one into the toe of Saqib Zulfiqar, but they opt against the review. Wisely. It was sloping down the leg side.

    Thanks Sam.

I'll start by bringing you a worm, it's still pretty close, and we're not far off the spell where Pakistan lost two in an over.

The Netherlands need Bas de Leede to keep going.

  5. Ned 150-5published at 30 overs

    Target 287

Bas de Leede cut the first ball away for four but, after that, it was a fantastic over from Shadab Khan and it so nearly brought him an other wicket.

With 20 overs to go, the Netherlands need 137 to win.

To take you through the remainder of the innings, it's over to Callum Matthews.

  6. Not outpublished at 29.2 overs

    Ned 150-5

It could hardly have been closer but Bas de Leede survives.

He really had to stretch to get back but he did so in the nick of time.

It was some delivery from Shadab Khan, though.

I reckon that's out. It was brilliant bowling.

Is this the big wicket for Pakistan?

A ripping delivery from Shadab Khan beats Bas de Leede but is his foot out of his ground as Mohammad Rizwan takes the bails?

    It's close.

  9. Ned 146-5published at 29 overs

    Target 287

There's rarely any shortage of excitement when you've got a genuine fast bowler on show and this is no different.

Haris Rauf is box office. He's put Pakistan in control but Bas de Leede is not giving this one up yet.

That is how you play a pull shot. Haris Rauf was going for his head but it was very nicely played and controlled.

  11. 6 runs

    Ned 145-5published at 28.4 overs

    Target 287

This is some seriously sharp bowling from Haris Rauf - but Bas de Leede is going to take him on!

He had to duck a rapid bumper earlier in the over but he crunches a hook shot over deep backward square now and it goes all the way.

A smile and a wink from De Leede to Rauf. He's enjoying this but that's brave!

    Andy Zaltzman
Cricket statistician on Test Match Special

It is the 10th time in World Cup cricket that a player has taken four wickets and made 50-plus.

For the last time a player did it against at top-eight ranked side you've got to go back to Ian Botham in 1992 against Australia.

The only other player before that was Duncan Fletcher, for Zimbabwe against Australia in 1983.

Other people have done it since but against sides that weren't ranked in the top eight.

  13. Ned 137-5published at 28 overs

    Target 287

Just four from the over and this is the problem for the Netherlands.

They need to regroup after that cluster of wickets but, as they do so, the required rate is only going to rise and they risking leaving themselves with too much to do.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Bas de Leedepublished at 27.1 overs

    Ned 133-5

Bas de Leede goes to his third ODI half-century from 50 balls.

He's batted superbly so far but he needs to keep going and likely be there at the end if the Netherlands are to have any chance now.

  15. Ned 133-5published at 27 overs

The Netherlands suddenly have it all to do. Bas de Leede is still there but he is going to need a lot of help to rescue this one for his side.

It floated to him and Haris has just turned his back on him and walked back to his mark. Iftikhar looks like he just wants the ground to swallow him up. It was the most gentle of chances.

  18. dropped catch

Zulfiqar dropped on 0published at 26.5 overs

    Ned 133-5

It should be three wickets in four balls!

Saqib Zulfiqar prods at another quick delivery around off stump, gets a thick edge but Iftikhar Ahmed drops a regulation chance at first slip.

Haris Rauf just turns his back and goes to the top of his mark.

Haris Rauf is such a crafty bowler. He just gets wickets at the right time. He always turns up on the big occasion.

The Netherlands will find it very difficult to chase 287 from here.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 26.4 overs

    Edwards lbw b Rauf 0 (Ned 133-5)

Three reds and that is what the pace of Haris Rauf can do!

Two wickets in three balls and Pakistan have seized control of this match.

Full, very fast - too fast for Scott Edwards - and pinned him in front. It looked plumb and ball-tracking shows it was thudding into the top of leg stump.
