That is a great catch, an absolute blinder. Breathaking!
Miraz c Rahul b Siraj 3 (Ban 129-3)
Super catch!
KL Rahul has flown down the leg side to hold Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Just a little tickle, but Rahul has made huge ground to hang on in those blue keeping gloves. India are flying now.

For the last few years, it's been a good pitch with good pace and carry here in Pune. There's a lot of runs scored here so I'm not surprised at Bangladesh's start. It could be a high-scoring game.
Get Virat back on.

I like the way Bangladesh have played this. As soon as Hardik got injured, they have got stuck into India, knowing India don't have the bowling resources.
Virat Kohli was enjoying himself in between overs, prodding the pitch. Liton Das decides he needs to do something to reverse the pressure, so biffs Jadeja back down the ground for four and follows up with a sweep to the boundary. Much better.

This is a bit of a comeback from India - the spinners are doing a good job for India.
India smell blood. Mohammed Siraj comes back into the attack as the hosts look to bang through the middle order. Miraz, who hasn't really got going yet, is late on a bouncer and India think about a review for caught behind. They decide against. Good decision.

That's Liton Das' second half-century of the World Cup. He has a had a really year for Bangladesh. Very good indeed. He's been consistent throughout this year.
Mathew Fleming, Ian Blackwell, Graham Napier, Ian Austin. All of them ahead of their time. Ian Austin could have been a superstar in Lucknow.
Speaking of all-rounders, Hardik has gone for a scan on that injured left leg/ankle.

You look at Jadeja and see him as a containing bowler but he's a wicket-taker these days too.
I'm telling you, a poor man's Mark Ealham. If Ealham was around today he'd be an IPL millionaire.

Why in heaven's name is Shardul Thakur picked time and time again? He just does not deliver.

Ban 113-2
Liton Das is going to have hold things together for a while. He's played second fiddle to Tanzid, but that takes nothing away from a solid half-century, from 62 balls. Bangladesh need him to bat deep.

Ravindra Jadeja is the main man again. 1-8 from his two completed overs. This one has catches Najmul Shanto on the back foot as he attempts to work it into the leg side. As soon as it pitched and hit on the knee roll you knew he would be in trouble. He hasn't troubled the scorers that much.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz is the new man, so we have two right-handers at the crease for the first time. Liton Das, meanwhile, has inched to 49. Was that a chance? Miraz chips just past the dive of bowler Kuldeep.

Ravindra Jadeja strikes as he almost inevitably does in this situation. India have struck just at the right time from their perspective.
Shanto lbw b Jadeja 8 (Ban 110-2)
Uh oh. You fear for Bangladesh here. They've not gone very far since Tanzid was out and now Najmul Hossain Shanto has to go too. It's Ravi Jadeja, the man who makes things happen. Back foot, deep in the crease, no doubt about the decision.

India have skillful spinners during this middle overs so it's important if you are not hitting boundaries to keep rotating the strike, and Bangladesh have done that well so far.
