It's been a bit of a tepid start by Bangladesh. They've not really looked to play a shot in anger. They've been resolute in defence which has not really put the India bowlers under pressure. I think India would have taken this start.
Bumrah has that staccato action, like Pinocchio working out how to be a real boy. Big, big in-ducker to left-hander Tanzid, which would have crashed into the middle stump had it not taken inside edge and front pad. It's swinging around corners.

Liton Das is pushing hard at the ball but hitting it to the fielders into the covers. He looks solid but doesn't look like scoring a run at the minute.
Really tight stuff this from India. There's barely been a loose ball in these first four overs. Bangladesh are watchful. Test match cricket in coloured clothing.

The Netherlands' victory over South Africa and Afghanistan's against England has ignited the tournament to some degree. It's certainly put some question marks over the Proteas given the start they had made before that game.
Spectators are flooding into the ground. Just an ocean of blue shirts. They are being funnelled into a couple of pretty narrow turnstiles. Not ideal, really. Still plenty of empty seats, which will fill up in time.
Bumrah is hooping it, mainly in-swing to the right-handed Das, who is the subject of a big shout for leg before. Umpire Richard Kettleborough, who I feel like I'm seeing more than my children at the moment, says no.
Does he definitely get in, Nand?

Imagine how good this India team would be with Rishabh Pant as well!

Mohammed Siraj shares the new ball, Tanzid greeting him with an aerial drive that just evades the dive of over. How many do Bangladesh need here? Especially without Shakib in the attack...

I think Bangladesh have to believe they can do it. Here in the ground you get the feeling it's going to be tough with 40,000 Indian fans against you. They could have their work cut out.
There's some swing. Shakib is on the Bangladesh bench wearing some rascal shades.

I've had a shocking morning involving a two-year-old, Calpol and some lost car keys. How's yours been?

The chap on the PA system is trying to rev up the crowd but they don't really need it! Bangladesh have a big job on their hands to try to cause an upset of sorts.

Liton Das and Tanzid Hasan are in the middle, Jasprit Bumrah has the ball. Two slips.

Maybe some will argue that India are moving too serenely at the moment and need something to jolt them a little. Bangladesh tend to save their best for when they play India, although the absence of Shakib Al Hasan is a big miss for them.
Pune, by the way, is the city where one of the great World Cup shocks took place. Kenya beat a West Indies side containing Lara, Ambrose and Walsh in 1996.

This stadium was the pride of Pune when it was built 11 years ago but sadly it's stayed the same as when it was built. It's not easy getting in.
