  1. 6 runs

    Aus 53-0published at 8.2 overs

That is enormous! What a shot from David Warner!

The left-hander goes across his stumps and almost looks to be falling over as he scoop-sweeps Haris Rauf and sends the ball high over deep backward square.

That's not into the stands, it almost clears it! It hits roof and bounces back down. Incredible hit.

  2. Aus 43-0published at 8 overs

Babar Azam turns to spin for the first time as Iftikhar Ahmed comes on to replace Hassan Ali.

The off-spinner is slightly too short early in the over and after David Warner picks out the fielder with a cut shot, Iftikhar gives him another go and this time the ball is sent racing to the boundary cushion.

Pakistan haven't taken a wicket as yet. But they really should have done.

    Look away now, Usama Mir...

  4. Aus 37-0published at 7 overs

Good over from Shaheen Afridi, giving Mitchell Marsh nothing to work with whatsoever.

A maiden to help Pakistan regain a bit of control.

  5. Aus 37-0published at 6 overs

The boundaries keep coming for Australia as Hassan Ali, who is struggling to hold a consistent line, pushes one across David Warner and is carved away backward of point.

It's 10 from the over in total as Warner clips for two through square leg to end it.

This is why it is unwise to give David Warner too many chances...

  7. Aus 27-0published at 5 overs

After the disappointment of the dropped catch, Shaheen Afridi adds to Pakistan's friustrations with a short, wide ball that Mitchell Marsh slaps away to the point boundary.

Australia are off to a decent start but how they're not one down, I don't know.

Dropped! The easiest catch you could imagine for Usama Mir. A miscue from David Warner. He had time to get underneath it, but it went straight through him. A horrible moment in the biggest game of your life.

  10. dropped catch

Warner dropped on 10published at 4.3 overs

    Aus 22-0

Goodness me, I can't quite believe what I've just seen. Usama Mir has dropped an absolute dolly.

David Warner tried to pull Shaheen Afridi, got himself in a bit of a tangle and sent the ball straight up.

It loops up and Usama Mir doesn't have to move at mid-on but somehow the ball bursts through his hands and goes to ground.

What a let off for Warner.

Mitchell Marsh made an early play for shot of the day by thumping Shaheen Afridi back over his head for six...

  12. Aus 22-0published at 4 overs

    Warner 10, Marsh 10

    Thumped through point for four!

Width on offer from Hassan Ali and Mitchell Marsh frees his arms and crashes the ball away to the boundary.

Nice pickup from David Warner. He always intended that to go quite flat.

Wonderful shot from David Warner. It looked like it was going into the hands of Usama Mir, and then the cameraman, but it missed both.

  15. 6 runs

    Aus 17-0published at 3.1 overs

    Top shot from David Warner.

The ball from Hassan Ali is angling onto the pads and the Australia left-hander just picks it up and lifts it high over fine leg for six!

  16. Aus 11-0published at 3 overs

As far as England are concerned, I think it's a flip of a coin really, Tim. An Australia win keeps Pakistan firmly in England's sights, a Pakistan win puts the Aussies on the brink...

Anyway, the Shaheen Afridi new-ball magic that we've been used to in recent years is still yet to materialise in this tournament but this is a tidy over from the left-arm seamer.

  18. Aus 9-0published at 2 overs

After the excitement of the first over, this one is rather more sedate.

Well, it is until Mitchell Marsh almost swings himself off his feet two balls in a row trying to attack the width on offer from Hassan Ali.

He only connects with fresh air each time, though.

Has it come off the boot? It didn't seem close to the bat or the pad. They've lose one review already. Then Mitch Marsh does that - what a way to get off the mark.
