  1. 6 runs

    Pak 90-0published at 14 overs

    Target 368

Just three singles from the first five balls of the Pat Cummins over but Abdullah Shafique gets after the last.

He pulls it powerfully in front of square and, after a check, the umpire confirms it landed on the boundary cushion - six!

A little pitching wedge shot from Imam-ul-Haq as he just chips it down the ground. He has not tried to do it like Mitch Marsh and hit over the scoreboard.

  3. Pak 81-0published at 13 overs

    Target 368

Lovely footwork from Imam-ul-Haq as he skips down the track to Adam Zampa and lifts the ball back over the bowler's head for four.

Top shot and Pakistan seem to have regained some momentum.

  4. Pak 73-0published at 12 overs

    Target 368

A life for Abdullah Shafique. Can he make Australia pay in the same way David Warner punished Pakistan for their errors in the field?

Sean Abbott had very little margin for error, but if he had taken it above his head it would have been taken inside the line. He needed to go fingers up from a foot further in. It might have swirled at the last minute.

  6. dropped catch

Shafique dropped on 27published at 11.5 overs

    Pak 72-0

Abdullah Shafique goes again, this time with a pull shot that goes high into the leg side.

Sean Abbott, on as a sub fielder, is out at deep square leg. He takes the catch but in trying to make sure his foot doesn't touch the boundary cushion, he overbalances and drops the ball over the rope.

    It's six!

What a shot that is from Abdullah Shafique. That is crisp, that is clean and a scorcher of a straight drive.

  8. Pak 66-0published at 11.4 overs

    Target 368

    Beautiful shot.

Crunched back down the ground by Abdullah Shafique, past Pat Cummins and away for four!

  9. Pak 61-0published at 11 overs

    Target 368

Tidy start from Adam Zampa, just two from the over and one of those was a leg bye.

Not a huge amount of turn for the leg-spinner just yet, though.

Abdullah Shafique has found himself getting bogged down a little in recent overs but he is still capable of producing shots like this...

  11. Pak 59-0published at 10 overs

    Target 368

Just four singles from the last over of the powerplay. Australia have done well to drag it back a bit but this is still a strong start for Pakistan.

Big moment coming up though, Adam Zampa is coming on to bowl the first non-powerplay over.

jambarrell: Zampa v Babar in the middle overs could be key here...

  13. Pak 55-0published at 9 overs

    Target 368

The boundaries haven't been coming so easily for Pakistan in the last few overs and perhaps that is what leads to Abdullah Shafique to chance his arm.

He decides to take on the short ball from Pat Cummins, mistimes it but the ball lands safely in the leg side and bobbles away for four.

One over left in the powerplay.

The last two overs of the powerplay are were Australia really got going. However, they didn't really make the most of the last 10 overs.

  15. Pak 48-0published at 8 overs

    Target 368

Very good bowling from Josh Hazlewood with just a pair of singles coming form his latest.

Abdullah Shafique has a quick look at his hand at the end of the over. He went off late in the Australia innings after doing some damage to his hand when he dropped a tough chance in the deep.

That may still be troubling him.

Australia need a bit of quiet period. A few overs of scoreboard pressure to make it feel like it is getting away from Pakistan even at this early juncture.

That was a great shot. Real intent from Abdullah Shafique. Pat Cummins was almost ducking for cover there.

  18. Pak 46-0published at 7 overs

    Target 368

It's a dark night in Bengaluru but the batting side are lighting it up.

Patman begins with just a single from his first four balls before Abdullah Shafique shimmies down and thumps the ball back over his head for four.

No runs in the last over but the boundaries have been flowing for Pakistan early in this innings...

Josh Hazlewood always knows how to find that traditional 'Test' length for Australia. That ability to bring the batter forward. He has stuck to a really good line and length. It was almost like he's bowling in Adelaide or Perth.
