  1. Pak 174-2published at 26 overs

    Target 368

Could we finally be about to see a close finish in this World Cup?

Pakistan have given themselves every chance in this record chase and you need the big names for these moments.

We're taking a different approach, though. It's over to Stephan Shemilt to take you the rest of the way.

Mohammad Rizwan is quickly into his work and so, too, is Babar Azam...

  3. Pak 169-2published at 25 overs

    Target 368

Patman returns and can feel a touch unfortunate to see his third ball run away for four.

It's a genuine outside edge from Mohammad Rizwan but they all count.

The new batter then sweeps, yes sweeps, Cummins in front of square for two before sending a crisp drive through extra cover to the boundary.

Halfway through the innings and Pakistan are only two shy of where Australia were at the same stage, albeit having lost two more wickets.

Marcus Stoinis has removed both Pakistan openers now.

Here he is removing Abdullah Shafique with his first ball...

Mohammad Rizwan is the new batter and gets off the mark with a singles.

Babar Azam then ends the over with a lovely shot, punched through mid-on for four. Great timing again.

This is the key partnership for Pakistan if they're to have any chance of knocking off these runs.

This is X-Factor at its finest from Marcus Stoinis. He's been thrown the ball and just gone and got both openers out. He's made a real impact on this game.

    Imam c Starc b Stoinis 70 (Pak 154-2)

    Big wicket for Australia!

Marcus Stoinis has his second and he is really pumped up now!

It's a short, wide ball that Imam-ul-Haq throws the bat at, the ball flies off the outside edge and down to Mitchell Starc at deep third.

He holds on to a good low catch to end a very good knock by Imam.

That last one won't be in there just yet but there are plenty of other classy strokes from Imam-ul-Haq to watch in the best of his half-century...

A proper cricket shot from Imam-ul-Haq. The more it goes behind the batter you know it's more of out control. But that was hit flush by the Pakistani batter.

  11. 150 runs

    Pak 151-1published at 23 overs

    Target 368

There is a brief delay and some confusion before smiles break out after Mitchell Starc loses the ball as he leapt into his delivery stride put goes through with his action.

Imam-ul-Haq has swayed out of the way, thinking perhaps he'd lost sight of a beamer.

No harm done and Imam had his eyes firmly on the ball as he pulls the last delivery of the over to deep mid-wicket for four. Shot.

Abdullah Shafique has departed now but he played some wonderful shots while he was in the middle...

  13. Pak 143-1published at 22 overs

    Target 368

    Four more for Babar Azam.

It's superb timing from the Pakistan captain, whipped leg side and it just gets past Josh Hazlewood as he runs across from mid-on and dives.

Marcus Stoinis isn't happy. He clearly feels Hazlewood should have cut that off.

  14. Pak 139-1published at 21.3 overs

    Target 368

Babar Azam is off the mark with a boundary!

Short again from Marcus Stoinis, Babar pulls it and finds the gap between the fielders at fine leg and deep square leg.

A straightforward catch and the sort that was dropped by Usama Mir when Pakistan were in the field.

Glenn Maxwell was calm and measured under it. The golden arm of Marcus Stoinis strikes for Australia and he roars in celebration.

  16. wicket

    Shafique c Maxwell b Stoinis 64 (Pak 134-1)

Well, it won't be happening today, Matt. Marcus Stoinis strikes first ball!

Abdullah Shafique clearly wanted to get after Australia's sixth bowler, tried to take on a short ball but top-edged it and up it went.

The ball loops kindly for Glenn Maxwell to come in from mid-wicket and take the simplest of catches.

That ends a fine opening stand for Pakistan but the platform is there as Babar Azam walks out...

Matt Taylor: This might be pre-emptive, but has there ever been an ODI where both sets of openers got to their hundreds in consecutive balls?

Fiery stuff from Mitchell Starc on his return to the attack, testing out both Pakistan openers with short balls.

They are able to negotiate them well enough but Star does restrict them to three from the over.

David Warner is not going to come out and field for Australia. We haven't been given a reason. He could just be absolutely knackered!

This is really good intent from Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq. That over was a treat to watch. Pakistan are not far behind where Australia were at this point.
