It might still have gone for six without the slip but an unnecessary risk for Jadeja.
That certainly would have had some hearts beating.

The fielder running in has slipped over and it's gone for six!
Just as the ball was dropping out of the sky, the legs gave way. Mark Chapman will be cursing the outfield.
Going... going... six!
An almighty slog looks like it could be a chance but it eventually sails over the ropes.
Mark Chapman slips as he runs around the boundary to chase it, so it could have been an opportunity had the soggy outfield not restricted him.

India are a batter light and this is the last recognised pair.
You get the feeling that if New Zealand get a wicket now, this game will be wide open and we might get the close game that so many people have been asking for.

Bump ball, wasn't it? What Phillips has definitely done is saved four.
Target 274
Glenn Phillips, you are sensational. A Superman-esque dive at close cover saves another boundary.
But unfortunately for New Zealand, it's not enough. India can just tick the singles and get this done easily.
If there is going to be a twist, it'll have to happen pretty soon.

You do get the feeling there is another twist in this game. I just don't think it is going to be as straightforward as it seems.
Target 274
Alex providing the eye-opening insight, as always.
Anyway, 10 overs to go. This is where India's bowlers stepped up and changed the game.
Can New Zealand's repeat it?

Me and Matt Henry once shared 60 chicken nuggets.
They do get quite dry after 20 or so and there was a lack of BBQ sauce, if I remember correctly.
Indeed, Latham does turn to Matt Henry.
Target 274
Just singles from Glenn Phillips' latest.
New Zealand must be thinking ruefully about just 30 more runs or so.

It's all getting a little easy for India. New Zealand need something to happen.
Tom Latham is sticking with Glenn Phillips.
Surely it's time to bowl Mitch Santner's last two and Matt Henry's last three?
No point saving them to the end. The run chase will be done by then.
Can New Zealand find one more piece of magic?

Fast hands from Kohli as he whips it for four. Punishing that, the rate comes under five.
Target 274
You can almost see the steam coming from Lockie Ferguson's ears. He bowls a wide with what should be the last ball of the over, and Virat Kohli whacks the extra ball for four.
Target 274
Just three singles from the rest of the over as Phillips recovers, but New Zealand are running out of time.
As long as Kohli is there, India are favourites.

A poor ball from Phillips. He doesn't bowl many bad balls but that was a stinker.
Not bowling like that, he won't.
Short and Kohli punishes it for four.
