50-over cricket (in my opinion) is the best format for balance of good tactical cricket and entertainment. It is criminal that it's being pushed out of sight like it has of late. The 2019 World Cup felt so much better than this.

South Africa will also have an eye on net run-rate. They know that there could be a bun fight for third and fourth place. So if they keep going like this they will put themselves in a really good position.
South Africa's David Miller:"I had no option but to really go for it but it is a really good pitch. The odd ball seemed to stick a bit but it was a normal Mumbai pitch.
"It has been a period of time together now where we've played well and the top six have batted together so it is about trusting that process. If it is a tricky moment get through it together and we've been going well.
"You mature with age, but I am understanding my role a lot better. I've got a lot of self belief but just going with the wave."

South Africa have done it again. This is not a batting line-up you want to bowl at.

South Africa will be delighted with that effort. Their top five are all in top form.
For Bangladesh it has been hot, it has been tough and now they have to chase 383.
Miller 34, Jansen 1
David Miller isn't happy but a wide yorker to finish is deemed a fair delivery by the umpire and another remarkable South Africa innings ends with a dot ball.
The Proteas scored 144 in the last 10 overs. That is incredible hitting, led by Quiton de Kock and Heinrich Klassen with David Miller doing his but right at the end.
Bangladesh need 383 to win.
Banged in short by Hasan Mahmud, slower ball again and David Miller cracks it away over deep mid-wicket for six!
That was some strike. The sound off the bat told you everything you needed to know.

Heinrich Klaasen will be pretty disappointed with the shot but not at all disappointed with the play he has played.
What a magnificent couple of matches he has had.
Klaasen c Mahmudullah b Mahmud 90 (SA 374-5)
Caught at deep point.
Slower ball bouncer from Hasan Mahmud, it would have been a wide if Heinrich Klaasen had left it but he tries to hit it for six.
He almost manages it but doesn't quite get the distance. Mahmudullah takes the catch in the deep and Klaasen goes 10 shy of his hundred.
But that was another brilliant knock.
Heinrich Klaasen moves to 90 with a massive six, straight back over Hasan Mahmud's head!
What a hit! Five balls to get the 10 needed for his ton...
A slight mishit from David Miller... but the ball still goes sailing over Liton Das at long on.
He's up to 28 from 12 balls. Heinrich Klaasen is 84 from 47. Can he get himself up to three figures in the last over?
David Miller swivels on the short ball from Shoriful Islam and gets the timing and placement just right, four more!
Six! Right in Miller's swinging arc and he powers the ball over long on for another maximum.
Did I say 380? I meant 390...

This is the fifth-highest total at this World Cup. Three of those five have been scored by South Africa.
I take your point, Tim, and I don't disagree on the whole - but there is nothing tedious about this batting display from South Africa.
Although, there is a dot ball to end the over which is quite dull compared to the what we've seen in the last few overs.
Two to go. South Africa will be aiming for 380, I reckon.

I love cricket but I’ve struggled with the games in this World Cup more than anything I’ve watched before. I agree with others is been dull; even the close games (of which there’s been too few) have lacked excitement. Is it the ODI format lacking a USP, the pitches, or season fatigue…I don’t know. But comparing this to Tests and T20, it’s been tedious.
Tim
Not the worst thing but when David Miller is the alternative, it's not the best thing for Bangladesh either.
The left-hander launches Hasan Mahmud over long off for six. The boundaries just keep coming.
