Caught in the deep. The end of a brilliant innings.

KL Rahul tries to clear the rope again but doesn't get quite enough on Bas de Leede's slower ball.

Well held at deep square leg by Sybrand Engelebrecht.

Into the crowd and that's a hundred for KL Rahul! It's been a scintillating knock and has taken India over 400.

    Ind 405-3

Six more! That's a century for KL Rahul - and from just 62 balls it's the fastest by an Indian batter at a World Cup!

Another magnificent hit over the leg side.

One more of those and the roof will come off today!

I reckon he might, you know!

Massive hit from KL Rahul. Giving himself a strong base and walloping the ball over cow corner for six.

Shreyas Iyer will be happy to watch from the other end for this final over to see if KL Rahul can do it.

One over to go, KL Rahul is on 89. Will he get up to three figures?

  8. 6 runs

    Ind 393-3published at 49 overs

    Three sixes in the over!

Banged in by Logan van Beek, it's the leg-cutter, but Shreyas Iyer is onto it and gets just enough on it to clear the fielder on the rope at deep mid-wicket.

That brings up an unwanted ton for Van Beek and a four clubbed over cover to end the over leaves him with figures of 0-107. Ouch.

  9. 6 runs

    Ind 380-3published at 48.2 overs

Wow. It's another massive hit from Shreyas Iyer.

He makes it all look so easy but he has bludgeoned this one back over the sightscreen, dragging it was wide of off.

And again! Same shot but this is even bigger and over long-on. Brutal hitting.

Even if KL Rahul wasn't thinking about getting to a century the Dutch bowlers have fed him the type of deliveries he likes and he can go for it in these remaining overs.

  11. Ind 368-3published at 48 overs

KL Rahul is able to flick the ball past the short fine leg fielder for a boundary but it's the only one in the over.

Eight from it in total. The Netherlands will take that at this stage of the innings.

Shreyas Iyer has hit a few big sixes and KL Rahul is in on the act as well...

  13. 6 runs

    Ind 360-3published at 47 overs

The slower balls might be getting predictable but this is the alternative!

Pace on delivery, wide of off and KL Rahul gets it up and over backward point for a remarkable six.

How he managed to open the face and still get the power to send the ball into the stand, I do not know!

  14. Ind 353-3published at 46.4 overs

The slower balls have worked well for Logan van Beek.

But perhaps they are getting a bit too predictable and KL Rahul is able to wait for this one and pump it back over the bowler's head for four.

The fans came to watch a Virat Kohli century but have to settle for one from Shreyas Iyer instead. They all got their mobile phones out to capture the moment. Rahul Dravid came out of the dressing room to applaud it as well. India will aim to kick on to 400 now.

    Ind 346-3

A brilliant hundred for Shreyas Iyer! He gets there from 84 balls with a single.

What a knock it has been. It's his first World Cup century and his fourth in ODIs overall.

  18. Ind 342-3published at 45.2 overs

Slashed through backward point again by KL Rahul again.

This time it is even more impressive because he has to create the pace on the ball himself.

He does so brilliantly for his ninth four of the innings.

India's highest score in a World Cup is the 413-5 they made against Bermuda in 2007. Dwayne Leverock, you may remember, took a rather memorable catch that day.

Five overs to go. Shreyas Iyer will be on strike to start the next over.

He's three shy of a century...
