A little tickle. A few hearts were in mouths.
Forget how high it was, Virat Kohli has got a little inside edge and New Zealand lose a review.
Chants of "Kohli! Kohli! Kohli!" go up around the Wankhede Stadium. Their hero survives.

It's another slower ball, a cutter. Wicket-to-wicket. If this is overturned it will go very, very quiet.
Big moment as Tim Southee hits Virat Kohli on the back leg and New Zealand go for the review.
Perhaps a tad high?

A great catch from Kane Williamson! They needed that, they really needed that. It went a mile up and the ball had a peak at the Arabian sea before dropping into the hands of the New Zealand skipper.

It was a cutter from Tim Southee and Rohit Sharma took it on. A superb catch by Kane Williamson. Rohit has gone India off to a flyer with some superb aggressive strokeplay.
Rohit c Williamson b Southee 47 (Ind 71-1)
New Zealand needed that! Superb catch from Kane Williamson.
Rohit Sharma has taken the new-ball bowling apart but it is one shot too many from the India skipper.
He doesn't quite get to the pitch of a full ball from Tim Southee and sends it high towards long-off.
Williamson is back-peddling as he goes back from mid-off, gets underneath it just in time and takes the catch as he tumbles back.

I’ve just nipped outside.
The noise is coming from wherever. There are pockets of different chants, vendors selling ice cream in your seat and horns of the trains beeping as they pass on the tracks behind the Sunil Gavaskar pavilion.
Oh and it’s hot.

It's the definition of a problem for New Zealand when Lockie Ferguson's best ball was met with a forward defence which went for two runs down the ground.
Nearly another boundary for Shubman Gill and it is a solid block, just timed so well that is runs past mid-on and requires a brilliant diving stop on the boundary.
Two overs left in the powerplay but even with another two fielders allowed outside the circle, New Zealand will struggle to slow India down with the openers in this mood.
Shubman Gill has had a watching brief for much of the early part of this innings but he can hurt New Zealand, too.
When Lockie Ferguson overpitches, the opener smokes a cover drive to the boundary. Top shot.

I saw David Beckham deep in conversation with Sachin Tendulkar in the posh seats at the Wankhede Stadium. I am sure they were discussing the future of the 18 county structure and The Hundred...
A very welcome over for New Zealand. Just three from it as Trent Boult manages, at long last, to slow Rohit Sharma's momentum.
For how long, though?

This is like watching England bowl to the tail.

The Kiwis have been dismantled inside these first few overs. Roiht Sharma is leading from the front in what has been a brilliant attacking start by India.

I'm in a situation where I don't want to see Mitchell Santner turning it square, but at the same time I do so New Zealand have a chance of taking some wickets!
What on earth do you do now if you're Kane Williamson. Seam and spin alike are going the distance.
Rohit Sharma has been brilliant so far.

Rohit Sharma has now hit a record 50 sixes at 50-over Cricket World Cups, overtaking Chris Gayle's total of 49.

Quite incredible power and staggering confidence from Rohit Sharma in this situation given all the pressure of captaining in a home World Cup.
Goodness me. There is just no let up from Rohit Sharma.
In truth, this ball was begging to be hit. Short from Mitchell Santner and it sits up for Rohit to launch it over the leg side for yet another six.
