    It's raining again. In Barbados.

    Of course it is.

Gus Atkinson, speaking to TNT Sports, before play: "On the whole the pitches here are a bit slower. You have to really hit the wicket hard. In England you get that lift of the wicket.

"With my variations, I don't think about it too much before the game and just react to how I feel the pitch might react and how the batter is player. Sometimes in England you don't have to bowl too many variations because the pitch helps you, but here you have to bowl them.

"In ODIs I think you have more time than you think. It's pretty similar to the four-day game at the start of the game then you go into T20 skills at the death. It's about using both sides of the game and adjusting.

"The T20 World Cup next year? I want to play as much for England as I can and being out here for a World Cup in 2024 would be special."

He's obviously not going to be involved tonight but how good is it to see Jofra Archer bowling again in the nets?

After such a difficult time with injury in recent years, England will hope he can get himself fully fit and firing in 2024.

I would have been excited to see how John Turner goes. I think we know what Matthew Potts can do, but if there's anything in the surface he has the knack of making something happen. But I think the pitch in Barbados will traditionally suit spin.

From an England perspective I really wanted to see John Turner playing. I've watched him bowl in domestic cricket and he looks hugely exciting. If Matt Potts plays and Brydon Carse isn't, he's more of a new ball bowler.

Turner could be the extra pace and bounce through the middle overs. If it is Potts its an opportunity to put his name in the frame for next September's ODIs against Australia.

This ODI series has given a few England players a chance to show what they can do.

Not everyone has had a chance, though. Will today be the day that John Turner makes his international debut?

We'll find out at the toss but the indications are that the Hampshire seamer may have to wait a little longer for that first cap.

England will be heavy favourites for this game. They should carry the momentum into this game. West Indies were a little cautious in that second game so they have a bit of a free hit knowing they are underdogs.

Good news, folks - the covers are coming off!

No word on when we might have the toss or a restart but fingers crossed we aren't waiting too much longer.

BBC Weather forecast for Bridgetown, BarbadosImage source, BBC Weather

A mixture of sunshine and thundery showers around in Bridgetown today according to the BBC Weather forecast.

The weather is expected to improve as the evening draws in, so we have reason to be optimistic we'll get a game in even if we have got a delayed start and there might be a few interruptions.

The good news is that the rain doesn't seem to be particularly heavy and the umpires have been out to have a quick check on conditions.

Umbrellas were up throughout but that they've been out at all suggests there is hope that the rain will disappear before too long...

    Who's ready for a decider?

West Indies took the first game, England did what they had to do in Antigua to level the series and now this new-look side have the chance to win the series.

That is if the weather plays ball. It was looking great earlier. Now? Not so much, I'm afraid.

The covers are on and the toss has been delayed.
