  1. Ind 395-4published at 95 overs

    Jaiswal 198, Sarfaraz 49

These two are going to fall out. Yashasvi Jaiswal sets off to sprint for two, as his partner did in the previous over, but Sarfaraz just ambles along.

"If you're not going to run two for me..."

  2. Ind 393-4published at 94 overs

    Lead by 519

Sarfaraz and Jaiswal have a row mid-pitch as the latter turns down an easy two. Sarfaraz is making his debut remember and clearly wants his fifty.

We've been asked if there's any chance of rain tomorrow.

    It's a categorical no.

  3. Ind 390-4published at 93 overs

This crowd has got more and more excited as the runs have come and they boo as Joe Root gets away with one down the leg side that isn't called a wide.

I think India might have enough now.

  5. Ind 388-4published at 92.2 overs

It looks like a message has just come out with a drink between overs.

Sarfaraz flicks the switch again and hammers the first two balls of Root's latest over for four.

  6. Ind 380-4published at 92 overs

    Lead by 506

Rehan Ahmed continues to bowl quite nicely without reward. Sarfaraz Ahmed swings hard at one out of the rough but connects only with fresh air.

BazBall is not just aimless slogging. It is a mindset allowing players to play how they feel most comfortable. If you want to start slowly and take your time then that is ok (Stokes most games). Why is this so misunderstood?

  8. dropped catch

Sarfaraz dropped on 37published at 91 overs

Sarfaraz Khan drills a catching chance back at bowler Joe Root, who cannot cling on low between his ankles.

This really has not been Root's best Test.

Does anyone think that Joe Root's problems with the bat in this series could be related to the fact that he's having to shoulder the extra responsibility of being a front line bowler? Thoughts anyone?

  10. Ind 373-4published at 90 overs

    Jaiswal 192, Sarfaraz 37

England's target, were India to declare right now, is 501. India surely have enough but on they go.

When will they declare? During this session shortly before tea would be my guess.

  11. Ind 370-4published at 89 overs

    Lead by 496

Four singles and a leg-bye come from Root's over. It's almost as if Jaiswal just wanted to prove a point against Anderson and has now gone back into his shell.

He takes on a drink and another supplement as the fielders change ends.

Anderson is being spared more punches to the stomach. Joe Root is summoned.

  13. Ind 365-4published at 88 overs

I think there have been times when England have accepted a need to be a bit more careful. They did it in the Ashes last summer after the collapse at Lord's. The frustrating thing about yesterday was it was a revert to that day in the second Test.

Rehan Ahmed does well to keep the scoring down to two runs in this over.

England more than happy to set defensive fields (i.e use common sense) when the situation demands it, yet they refuse to do the same with the bat. Highly frustrating for England fans (I imagine!)

  15. Not outpublished at 07:11 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

The replays show the ball only hit Sarfaraz's arm and it turns out England reviewed that amid all of that confusion.

    They're now out of reviews.

  16. Umpire reviewpublished at 07:09 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

Confusion all-round as England claim a catch off Sarfaraz.

It's sent upstairs by the umpires to see whether it carried, so they seem to think there was bat or glove involved.

Jaiswal has already broken the record for the number of sixes in a single Test series. He's up to 20 and there are still two Tests to go.

  18. Ind 363-4published at 87 overs

    Lead by 489

The India players are giggling up on the balcony after Sarfaraz shapes to reverse scoop Anderson before thinking better of it and playing a forward defence. Remarkable.

Jaiswal then shows his not all about the power by guiding the ball fine for four more.

Great bowling from Anderson. Accelerate the target to a total Duckett deems big enough with enough time in the game. That’s experience for you.

  20. Ind 358-4published at 86.1 overs

Anderson continues and is flicked Kevin Pietersen-style off his pads for four by Sarfaraz Khan.

Jimmy looks like he wants to scream.
