Hmmm, it's just the one over for Mohammed Siraj as Kuldeep Yadav returns.

Two appeals for lbw in the over, but both are pretty short-lived.

There are just over 20 minutes until the scheduled tea interval by the way. If England are nine down at the time then we'll carry on for another 30.

England have lost this series due to lack of strategy, tactics and execution more than skill! This England team were better placed with experience and temperament. England helped India to win most of the matches in this series similar to first two tests in Ashes. I feel sorry for English fans travelled to India, but I hope they enjoyed early summer out here.

Shoaib Bashir plays out a maiden from Ravindra Jadeja.

He's put on 42 with Joe Root in 9.2 overs.

I wonder if getting dismissed playing the reverse scoop is the best thing that could have happened for Joe Root. He's going to play the shot again, we all know that and should embrace it, but he's shown more patience and found his natural rhythm since.

He moves to 72 with successive off-side boundaries off Siraj.

In this relentless storm that is England cricket, we can always look to Joe Root as a beacon of hope. Too many times we have relied on him, he deserves more than that...

Ah, here's Mohammed Siraj. He replaces Jasprit Bumrah.

Ravindra Jadeja has replaced Kuldeep Yadav by the way. We're still yet to see Mohammed Siraj in this innings.

There's an lbw appeal from Jadeja. Well, it's more of a plea to be honest. Looks like Shoaib Bashir got some bat on it, though.

    Streaky.

Shoaib Bashir throws his hands at a drive and a thick edge flies past second slip.

Joe Root v Jasprit Bumrah is a fascinating battle. It's what Test cricket is all about.

    Four more for Joe Root.

Jasprit Bumrah deliberately hides the final ball outside off stump but Root just slashes it over the top for four.

It had been a really probing over until then.

A single apiece for Joe Root and Shoaib Bashir.

It does feel like it has calmed down slightly. Earlier it felt like England could lose another wicket at any moment.

A series in India is the ultimate challenge, and England have fallen well short. While Bazball has provided tremendous excitement, let's be honest, it’s become a ‘great escape’ approach. Save/win the day with a miraculous all-guns-blazing comeback after a poor start. But as the novelty wears off and other teams begin to work out how to counter it, its weakness as a long term approach for the Test game gets ever clearer…

Joe Root wants a change of bat and Ollie Robinson brings out six options for him to choose from. Going to be a hefty charge getting those back to the UK.

Jasprit Bumrah is going through his full box of tricks at the moment and there's a half-appeal for lbw but Root has again edged it.

Root moves to 59 with a flick to the mid-wicket boundary.

Jasprit Bumrah will continue after drinks.

He beats Joe Root outside off-stump to start.

    Go on, Shoaib Bashir.

He's almost caught off the helmet of short-leg earlier in the over, but he whips the final ball into the mid-wicket fence.

England's deficit is under 100. Time for a drink.

We could have won the first four Tests. We DIDN'T, which ultimately is the measuring stick. But we've lost to the best Test team in the world on their own territory. There's a serious lack of perspective among the England fanbase. This is a developing team, and India have been magnificent in showing where the room is for growth. Have faith, people.

India will get a go at Shoaib Bashir.

Joe Root picked out cover with the final ball of the over, but it was a no-ball. The extra delivery is driven to the fence by Root.

    A very well-made half-century for Joe Root.

It comes up off 88 balls with five fours.

Fancy making it a double ton, Joe?

The tactic works as Joe Root is able to take a single from the final ball of the over to keep the strike.
