  8. 'We did enough in the game to win'published at 14:31 British Summer Time

FT: West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Marc Skinner speaking to Sky Sports: "Definitely frustrating. I thought we did enough in the game to win it. I don't think West Ham came to win, they came to spoil it, which is a totally fine tactic to make, and it has got them a point. But they did not press us, they dropped into a block almost instantly when we got the ball.

"Frustrating but there are a lot of positives we can take forward into the Chelsea game. We don't want to drop points but the reality is that you have to beat the opponent ahead of you and we haven't done that.

"The three teams that we are going to play next will not play like that, so it will be a totally different game. They will open up and try to attack you and there will be more space to play in. We can be more threatening than we were here. We will assess and dust ourselves off.

"We exploited the space well but we did not put the ending on it. We got in behind them and down the sides but then we needed to switch our instincts on in the final third. There were a couple of great crosses put in, we hit the bar in the first half, and it was the moments that we had to make matter.

"The pitch plays into both teams' ability to finish in this game, West Ham weren't clean at the other end either. It spoils the game a little bit but it's for both teams."

FT: West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

    West Ham United

West Ham boss Rehanne Skinner speaking to Sky Sports: "I thought we were incredibly hard to play against, defended brilliantly and managed their threats. A team like Manchester United are going to get chances but we made it really tough for them in and around the box.

"I thought we looked the more likely to get the goal in the end. In the last ten minutes we did really well in front of goal. Another clean sheet, two on the bounce at home and another point against a team in the top four."

  16. 'A lot of positives to take'published at 14:19 British Summer Time

FT: West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

    West Ham United

West Ham defender Shelina Zadorsky speaking to Sky Sports: "We knew it was going to be a physical game, and they have a good defensive record so it was hard to break them down. I'm really proud of everyone and how we played as a full team, everyone who came on had an impact. Obviously we want to get goals but we created chances so there are a lot of positives to take.

"It is a big step for us to play against some of the best players in the country and the world [and match them]. We have come a long way and we just want to keep getting more results. We have grown a lot.

"We know they [United] have creative movements and a rotations and like to get their full backs really high, so for us it was about managing those wide spaces. And to be able to pass on players when we could be aggressive and step forward. I think we did that really well.

"We want to finish as high as we possibly can and get as many points as possible from the last few games. We take each game as it comes, that has worked well for us, and the next game we try to go and win."
