What an end to this race. Max Verstappen is given third place after Lando Norris' penalty is applied. The Briton will have to settle for fourth place, with his McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri finishing fifth.
From way back in the pit lane, George Russell has recovered from his miserable Saturday to come home in sixth place. If you missed the start of the race, Lewis Hamilton retired very early on after beaching his Mercedes.

McLaren fans will find that hard to take and they will feel a little bit hard done by given that at other previous races we haven't had penalties for the same thing.
George Russell started from the pit lane after his crash in Q3, but now the Mercedes man is chasing down Sergio Perez for his originally sixth position.
Red Bull are back on the blower to Max Verstappen to tell the Dutchman Lando Norris has already had a few nods for track limits today, so a penalty will probably be heading his way.

The trouble for Norris is because he hasn't chosen to give the position back, if he gets a five-second penalty he's going to be very close with his team-mate Piastri, I'm sure the team will manage that.

Surely this is the moment? The two are alongside each other around Turn 12 and 13 and Lando Norris ends up wide off the track. He goes through on the Red Bull, but Max Verstappen is not happy and thinks his rival should give the place back.
Lando Norris has DRS at Turn 12 but Max Verstappen is a brick wall today. There just seems to be no way for the McLaren driver to demolish that barrier.

Max Verstappen is having to be very clever about how he deploys the hybrid part of his power unit, saving that battery and recharging it at various points of the race.
Lando Norris needs to be careful not to overcook these last few laps. Max Verstappen locks up, which should be ideal for the McLaren, but the Dutchman's twitch still doesn't offer the chance to pass.
