Their captain James Sargent played a big part in that, with a majestic score followed by a great run and assist for Luke Grant's point. What leadership.

However Derry are reminded everyone right now why they the defending champions and unbeaten in so long in championship football.

The crowd are getting into it too. We should be in for an exciting final 10 minutes.

  16. Double All-Ireland winner O'Mahony passes awaypublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 7 July

Some sad news to bring you. Former Galway manager John O'Mahony has died at the age of 71.

O'Mahony won a pair of All-Ireland titles with the Tribesmen, lifting Sam Maguire in 1998 and 2001.

The first of those successes ended the county's 32-year wait for the game's biggest prize.

Prior to his feats with Galway, in 1989 O'Mahony had brought his native Mayo to their first All-Ireland final in 38 years and, in 1994, led Leitrim to a first Connacht Championship victory since 1927.

No manager has ever won more than his eight Connacht titles. O'Mahony also served as a TD and Senator in the Irish Parliament.

  17. Armagh happier side at half time?published at 14:35 British Summer Time 7 July

    HT: Armagh 0-6 Derry 1-3

    Orla Bannon
BBC Sport NI at Healy Park

Armagh should be well happy with how this is going so far.

Outside of a brilliantly-taken penalty by James Sargent, Derry did not score a point of any kind since the fourth minute. Given the Oak Leafers had a small breeze at their backs, they will be disappointed they didn't build on a promising start.

Armagh have grown in confidence and belief as the half wore on and no doubt which side will be the happiest in the dressing-room at half time.

And it's stopped raining, so let's hope conditions don't play a part in either side winning or losing an All-Ireland final.

A wonderful counter-attack finished with Ross Marsden playing Eoin Duffy in on goal. Duffy tries to be too cute and take the shot soccer-style, but the the ball gets caught under his feet.

However, his goalkeeper Michael Finnegan levels the game from the resulting 45.
