  1. When will Froome turn the screw?published at 14:23 British Summer Time 7 July 2016

Good question, Matt. This from our BBC Radio 5 live commentator and former GB cyclist Rob Hayles: "Not today. Everyone coming into this Tour has said they'll look for possible weakness in Team Sky during the final week. It's unlikely that Sky will look to intentionally take the yellow jersey this early as it's a heavy burden to carry for the rest of the race."

    104km to go

That means that overall the Green Jersey standings are as follows:

    Peter Sagan: 161 pts

    Mark Cavendish: 154 pts

    Marcel Kittel: 152 pts

Plenty of points to play for later on, too.

    110km to go

Bryan Coquard led Peter Sagan in a mini-sprint through Montbazens with the French rider holding off the Slovak to earn 15 points. Sagan gets 11.

Mark Cavendish was not among them, perhaps deciding to save his energy for the spring finish later on.

That means Sagan leads Cavendish at the top of the Green Jersey standings by 15 points now.

  13. 'The dream is over'published at 13:31 British Summer Time 7 July 2016

Speaking of football earlier, the Welsh dream is over at Euro 2016 after they were beaten 2-0 in last night's semi-final against Portugal.

I'm sure Team Sky's Welsh cyclist Geraint Thomas sums up the mood of a nation this morning.

Pity Aaron Ramsey was suspended eh?

  16. Previously in Montaubanpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 7 July 2016

For those of you with good memories, you will remember that Le Tour has finished in Montauban before.

Back in 1998, another year when a famous football tournament was taking place in France, French sprinter Jacky Durand was part of a five-man breakaway and then blitzed his companions to win the stage.

Can another French sprinter continue the trend?

    140km to go

Still a four-minute gap from the leaders, who managed just over 40km in the first hour, to the peloton, with the likes of Dimension Data, Etixx-Quick Step and Lotto-Soudal heading up the pack.

  18. Who's in the coloured jerseys?published at 13:05 British Summer Time 7 July 2016

A quick reminder of who's in what jersey as the peloton remains about four minutes behind the leaders.

Yellow jersey: Belgian Greg Van Avermaet won stage five and has a 5 minute 11 second lead over France's Julian Alaphilippe.

Green jersey: Slovakia's Peter Sagan is in the green jersey with 150 points, closely followed by Mark Cavendish, 146, and Marcel Kittel, 142. As well as today's finish, there is an intermediate sprint is at Montbazens after 77.5km.

Polka dot jersey: Thomas De Gendt is the new holder of the polka dot jersey with three Belgians forming the top three. De Gendt has 13 points, and is followed by Van Avermaet on 11, with Jasper Stuyven on five.

White jersey: Second in the general classification, Julian Alaphilippe is the only rider who retained his  jersey on Wednesday. He leads for a fourth straight day, with a six-second advantage over Warren Barguil, Wilco Kelderman and Britain's Adam Yates.
