Jan Tratnik is last man standing at the front. Surely he will have to sit up now.

  18. Can Sagan win the sprint?published at 20:00 British Summer Time 28 July 2019

I was hoping to be using a brilliant image of Peter Sagan photo-bombing the Ineos team earlier but instead I best mention that he has won the points classification (again).

That means he will stand alone with a record seven green jersey successes, after being tied on six with former German sprinter Erik Zabel.

But can he win on the Champs-Elysees? The Slovakian has twice been runner-up in Paris, surely he's due one?

  20. 'Nothing ventured nothing gained'published at 22km to go

    Rob Hayles
Ex-GB cyclist on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra, in France

They do say nothing ventured nothing gained. If these four are reined in that's when you will find the attacks being.

If you catch them too far out it makes the stage messy and sprinters teams do not like that.
