  2. Van Aert attackspublished at 9km to go

The front three are into the final 10km.

Thibaut Pinot is hunting his first stage win since triumphing on the Tourmalet in 2019.

But off goes Van Aert! Martinez follows, but Pinot is gone.

    We're on the Hautacam.

Wout van Aert, Thibaut Pinot and Dani Martinez remain out in front, two minutes and 25 seconds clear and, whisper it quietly, they'll be starting to dream of a stage win.

Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard have been rejoined before the final climb by Geraint Thomas, Louis Meintjes and Jumbo Visma pair Sepp Kuss and Tiesj Benoot.

  7. Heading to Hautacampublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 21 July 2022

In all, five Tour stages have previously ended at the top of the climb to Hautacam.

Among those occasions, Luc Leblanc triumphed over Miguel Indurain at the resort in 1994, while Cadel Evans took the lead in the 2008 overall classification for the first time by moving one second ahead of Frank Schleck.

In 2014, Vincenzo Nibali clinched the yellow jersey three days before his coronation in Paris.

  13. Postpublished at 33km to go

Tadej Pogacar continues to press on with Jonas Vingegaard stuck to his wheel.

Geraint Thomas distances Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard and Sepp Kuss.

  18. Postpublished at 36km to go

Right at the front, only Wout van Aert, Thibaut Pinot and Daniel Martinez remain.

Behind them, Tadej Pogacar goes again!

    Jonas Vingegaard follows again.

This has to be it for the final 36km. The defending champion has to try everything now.

  19. Postpublished at 37km to go

Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard reach the second group on the road and are two minutes and 26 seconds behind the Wout van Aert group at the front of the race.
