After his semi-final win Gerwyn Price said: "Even though I went in 8-2 up I was a bit disappointed because I missed a few doubles to go 9-1 up.

"I've been in situations when I've been so many legs up before and lost matches so I was kicking myself, but I know I was playing well.

"I'm going to get back to the practice room, keep throwing and hopefully that game or even better comes out again."

Gerwyn Price told Sky Sports he was "speechless" by how well he played in that semi-final.

He will need a similar level in the final, Michael Smith and Michael van Gerwen will likely put up a bigger fight on this occasion that Jonny Clayton managed.
