    Commentator on Sky Sports

I'm a bit puzzled by the crowd reaction to Rob Cross. They booed him as he walked on and they've been giving him a bit of stick here.

    I don't know why.

Night one winner Michael Smith, talking to Sky Sports, about his quarter-final with Rob Cross: "This morning I remembered I won here last year so hopefully I can do it again. I want to get to 20 points as soon as possible so I don't have to force myself.

"It should be a good game and the crowd should have some fun. It should be a good contest."

Since bursting onto the scene at the World Championship, Luke Littler has not let up.

He hit a nine-darter on his way to winning the Bahrain Masters and this week he did it again on his Players Championship debut.

His second nine-darter of the year came in his 6-1 win over Michele Turetta in the last 32 and he proceeded to beat Ryan Searle in the final.

It isn't completely predictable so far and I didn't expect it to be. It's credit to the players, they've hit the ground running rather than feeling their way into it.
