Richard:, external James Chester's goal is a carbon copy of my debut goal at my new primary school back in 1991!

Joseph:, external Hull already look like they're sitting too deep, will struggle to do that for an hour.

Phil:, external Wowsers. This FA Cup final is absolutely captivating.

No doubt about it Tom Huddlestone can hit 'em. Beautiful technique from the former Tottenham man as he takes on a half-volley with the ball bouncing up somewhere around knee height and is only a few feet over the top.

Better from Hull who are seeing a bit more of the ball. Perhaps they have weathered the storm.

Former Cadiff boss Malky Mackay: "Eventually Arsenal have woken up and started competing because they were well off the pace for the first 10 minutes. They have settled down, Cazorla has been involved in most of the build-up but Ozil still looks a bit sluggish."

John, Harrow: Hull fans do you remember going 2-0 up in the fourth and 12th minute against Man Utd this season, with Chester your first goalscorer, only for Man Utd to win 3-2 scoring their first in the 18th minute? Not over until it's over...

Arsenal have had Hull on the rack after the Tigers' smash and grab first 10 minutes.

Aaron Ramsey catches a volley sweetly on the edge of the box, but we are left to wonder what might have been as Curtis Davies blocks at point-blank range.

Olivier Giroud, whose hair looks like it took a team of architects a month to design the style for, leaves Curtis Davies with a dead-leg as the pair contest an aerial ball. The Arsenal striker is all innocence on his return to earth and I don't think there was anything deliberate in it.

Arsenal are building some steam here. A smart dummy from Santi Cazorla frees up Aaron Ramsey, Olivier Giroud has a shot blocked and a Lukas Podoloski rocket is deflected over via a defender's shin from the loose ball.

Hull are pinned back once again and Curtis Davies does well to get his head to the ball as Mesut Ozil's deflected volley comes flying into the six-yard box.

Liam Rosenior's blood is up. The Hull full-back goes chasing after a ball that he is always second favourite for and takes out Bacary Sagna en route. Referee Lee Probert takes mercy issuing a telling off, but keeping his cards in his pocket.

"Tom Huddlestone is going to be vital for Hull City in this crucial next phase. He is the man Steve Bruce will want to get on the ball and show some composure and quality as Arsenal regain confidence following Santi Cazorla's free-kick."

George:, external Nothing the World Cup could throw up would come close to this FA Cup final. Sensational!

Hisham:, external What an amazing final, Arsenal lucky not to be three nil down, then an excellent free kick. All in 17 mins.

Henry:, external How important is that goal-line clearance by Gibbs right now? Could have been 3-0, instead it's now 2-1.

  12. CLOSE!published at 17:23 British Summer Time 17 May 2014

What a game this is. Arsenal now snapping and snarling in attack and Mesut Ozil should do better as Lukas Podolski plays a low cross into the box and his fellow German loses marker Alex Bruce.

Ozil fails to make any contact with the ball though, taking a sidefoot swipe of fresh Wembley air.

Hull's Ahmed Elmohamady is hobbling after clattering his instep into the sole of Bacary Sagna's boot while attempting to clear. There is a walk like an Egyptian joke in there somewhere.

Anyway, he is back in the fray, if still not moving freely.

"Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger pumped his fists in relief as much as celebration when Santi Cazorla's free-kick flew in. How the Gunners needed that - anyone still say the FA Cup final is reduced in meaning and significance these days? Not a chance."

"That is a fantastic strike from Cazorla and Arsene Wenger looks a little bit happier. You have to look at the goalkeeper there. If he had been standing where he should have been, it would have been an easy save."

Arsenal once conceded one of the best free-kicks at Wembley when Paul Gascoigne screamed one past David Seaman in the 1991 FA Cup semi-final. Now Santi Cazorla's scored one to rival it.

Right in the postage stamp, lovely arc on it, and Arsenal are back in it. Cazorla demanded more noise from the Gunners fans as he made his way back to the centre circle.

Arsenal are finally getting their foot on the ball and catching their breath.

The Gunners build from deep and win a free-kick as Santi Cazorla is tripped 30 yards out by Alex Bruce. Lukas Podolski and Cazorla are lining up for it...

"The roars you can hear are roars of frustration from Arsenal fans. Did I say 3-0 to Arsenal? What do I know about the game?"

  19. CLOSE!published at 17:14 British Summer Time 17 May 2014

Another Hull set-piece and again Arsenal are all over the shop. Alex Bruce's looping header is on course to drop in at the far post and it needs Kieran Gibbs to nod away from under his own bar with Lukasz Fabianski beaten.

It could be all over already.

"We are situated almost within the Arsenal section here at Wembley and stunned disbelief does not cover it. Hull City have come out and flattened the favourites with two early blows. What a test of the nerve and character of Arsene Wenger's side."
