Hull manager Steve Bruce on ITV: "We've done very well with this shape. We played it a lot last year in the Championship and this year in the Premier League. With injuries and knocks we think it's the best way of going. It's a huge job for us but that's what the FA Cup final is all about."

BBC football expert Mark Lawrenson, eighties pop siren Sinitta, rugby league hardman Lee Crooks, talkshow host Piers Morgan and You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceshi.

Sounds like one hell of a dinner party guest list doesn't it?

The five of them have predicted the outcome of today's game for BBC Sport with Hull fans Crooks and Sinitta sticking up for a Tigers win.

Franceshi, by the way, says he attended his first Gunners game when he was six months old and his dad took him along in a rucksack. Is that what those bag searches are all about?

    FA Cup silversmith Kevin Williams

It may be the 133rd FA Cup final, but it is the very first with this version of the iconic trophy.

Kevin Williams, master silversmith at Thomas Lyte, has made a new edition for 2014 - only the third since the current design was introduced in 1911.

It is heavier than previous incarnations, weighing in at 6.3kgs. That should make it more robust.

It apparently picks up a few bumps and dints as it tours around the county, to schools and the like, throughout the year.

Arsenal's 2005 FA Cup winner Mathieu Flamini: "The FA Cup cannot compare to the Champions League or the Premier League. It's something different but it is in the heart of every single fan and is very traditional so we really want to win it. I've played in Italy and France and the Cup is not as important there."

"Fiver to mind your car mate?"

Honestly, having a sticker supporting the wrong team in the backscreen of your battered family motor is an invite for trouble.

Dressing your Roller up in Arsenal colours and then heading off for 90 minutes plus looks a very expensive mistake.

"Arsene Wenger has stuck with Arsenal's FA Cup goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski for the final - and no-one (except perhaps Wojciech Szczesny) could mount a serious argument against it. He was outstanding in the win against Liverpool and also in the penalty shootout win against Wigan Athletic in the semi-final.

"Fabianski may be a little relieved as Wenger dropped Richard Wright in favour of David Seaman for the final against Chelsea in 2002 after playing him throughout Arsenal's FA Cup run. No change today though."

"I can't see a single position in which Hull are superior to Arsenal, with the exception of the goalkeeper perhaps. Arsenal should win this 3-0. And if they don't it's a question for Wenger and a question for his team."

Former Cardiff manager Malky MacKay: "Wenger is a very single-minded, focussed man who wants to protect Arsenal Football Club. If he has signed a contract he doesn't care if people know or not. But he will be nervous because they are such big favourites to win this game today."

"Until Arsenal win a trophy, they will always have this tag. People think when they get to a final they freeze. They have got to stand up and perform because Hull have some dangerous players and are well-organised. But this is set up for Arsenal to win comfortably.

"I hope Wenger stays whatever. We saw Manchester United change and it hasn't worked. I think they need to identify somebody before they even consider it. Arsenal is a big football club and it is not as easy as people think to get people into the top four."

Oliver:, external Got game changers on the bench in the form of Rosicky and Wilshere. Flamini a good option if we want to shut up shop.

Rian:, external Amazing to believe that Fryatt is Hull's top scorer in all competitions with six goals. Good the rest of the team chipped in!

The FA Cup might be beamed around the world, drawing an audience of millions, but the figures might be down a little in Spain today.

Just as English football's showpiece gets under way, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona will kick off in a La Liga decider.

My attention has just been drawn to Hull's official FA Cup final song. It is called Wembleyphant, external, it is reworking of Nellie the Elephant and it is a very acquired taste.

All proceeds to Hull and East Riding Diabetic Society though and you can't say fairer than that.

"The key player for Arsenal is Aaron Ramsey - he has got legs, he runs past the striker Olivier Giroud and opens teams up. Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla can unlock defences but they rely on those runs from Ramsey. It is a massive boost for Arsenal to have him back."

Hull look set up to clog up the central spaces that Arsenal thrive in. Three solid centre-backs, David Meyler prowling around in front of them and Tom Huddlestone to ping long balls towards lone striker Matty Fryatt while the wing-backs bomb on to join him.

There has already been a full dress rehearsal for today's final.

With both already through from their semi-finals, they met in the Premier League on 20 April.

It was a one-sided affair as well with Aaron Ramsey shining in a slick 3-0 win for the Gunners.

    Same again?
