Excellent foraging out wide from Charlie Austin as QPR push on in search of a leveller. His low cross finds Niko Kranjcar, who connects with a shot as sweet as you like, but it's brilliantly charged down.

  2. Rio Ferdinand to leavepublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 12 May 2014

Here's some more on the story that has broken in the past few minutes.

Rio Ferdinand will leave Manchester United this summer.

The 35-year-old's departure will bring to an end a 12-year stay at the club, for whom he has made over 400 appearances.

Ferdinand played in United's final game of the season on Sunday, a 1-1 draw at Southampton.

BBC Sport understands he intends to continue playing but his next club is still unknown.

Ferdinand made his United debut against Hungarian side Zalaegerszeg in a Champions League tie in August 2002 after joining from Leeds for £30m.

He has helped United win six league titles, two League Cups, one Champions League and a Club World Cup.

He signed a new one-year extension to his contract in May last year, keeping him at the club until the end of this season.

Forty minutes to go. Wigan have barely been out of their half since the interval but they won't mind about that. QPR will have to commit men up the pitch at some point and that could be the key.

"Seems @rioferdy5 is to leave Manchester United. He's been an integral part of the club's enormous success and a wonderful player."

John: Shame about Rio leaving been a great servant to Utd, but understand Utd need to rebuild and he is getting slower although still a great reader of a game. Best of luck to him.

QPR start the half well, Joey Barton whizzing in a corner which slides across the face of goal. Wigan look set to soak it up and then hit them on the counter. Loftus Road is buoyant at the moment though...

That's my fault. Commentator's curse as Matty Blair - who scored some big goals for York a few years back - taps in from all of six inches out.

  9. CLOSE!published at 20:51 British Summer Time 12 May 2014

Lovely effort! York go so close to an opener as Michael Coulson flashes a shot wide from 20 yards. The hosts were well under the cosh in the first half but that was almost the key goal.

BBC Sport's Nabil Hassan at Loftus Road

"QPR did not want half-time to come here at Loftus Road, they've pressed and probed for an equaliser but it just won't come. Wigan boss Uwe Rosler was a very relieved man to hear that half-time whistle as were the thousands of Latics fans who have made the trip south. Their side are just about holding on."

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 12 May 2014

BBC Sport's Steve Claridge at Loftus Road

"QPR have a tempo to their game now - there is movement and options, all of a sudden they look like a different side. This is a decent game now - it is all QPR but Wigan have something to defend. I don't think Harry Redknapp will have wanted half-time to come."

Wigan hanging on as we enter the final minute of added time - brilliant from Emmerson Boyce to stretch and head away a cross.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 12 May 2014

BBC Sport's Ian Woodcock at Bootham Crescent: "Honours even at the break and that's probably a fair reflection of the game. The hosts started the brighter but Fleetwood have grown into the contest and home keeper Nick Pope's fine save from Antoni Sarcevic's long range effort is as close as either side has come."
