"QPR recall Niko Kranjcar and Kevin Doyle to the starting line-up with on loan Ravel Morrison, who is on the bench, and Armand Traore the two men dropping out. Those are the only changes from the side that drew 0-0 at Wigan.

"Scott Carson keeps his place in goal as Wigan make one change with James McClean coming in for Marc-Antoine Fortune. There is no place for Wigan's top scorer Nick Powell who has been suffering with injury and illness recently."

Ryan in Lincoln: As a lifelong Lincoln fan I love the play-offs the excitement and the country watching teams they wouldn't usually. However I would love it a lot more if we had won one of the many play-offs I'd been to see with the Imps.

BBC Sport's Ian Woodcock at Bootham Crescent:

"There is a real sense of deja vu tonight. Just like Saturday it's absolutely tipping it down right now but, fortunately, there's no standing water on the pitch and it is very much game on for two teams looking for a second promotion in three seasons."

With the form Derby are in, both sides in tonight's second leg will be wary of facing the Rams.

Steve McClaren's side thrashed Brighton 4-1 in Sunday's second leg at Pride Park to book a place at the Wembley showpiece.

Are the Rams on for a top-flight return?

  8. Garcia gonepublished at 18:44 British Summer Time 12 May 2014

Some breaking news from the Championship tonight - and it comes from beaten play-off semi-finalists Brighton.

Coach Oscar Garcia has resigned and the Seagulls are on the lookout for a new manager.

Garcia said:, external "The club has been aware of my thoughts for several weeks and during this time I have had discussions with both the chairman, Tony Bloom, and chief executive, Paul Barber.

"I have enjoyed my time with the club but, although I do not have any immediate plans, I have decided to move on."

Interesting. Sounds like he wanted out whether Brighton went up or not...

Is there a man, woman or child alive who dislikes the play-offs?

Perhaps if you support Preston. Or Lincoln. But I love 'em. A brilliant footballing invention which can only add more drama to the season's run-in.

But what do you lot think? Is there a better way to sort out promotion? Are they fair? Should we have play-offs for relegation too?

    York v FleetwoodImage source, PA

You have to feel for York.

On Saturday night their big night in the limelight was snatched away late doors by a remarkable downpour which led to their League Two play-off against Fleetwood being postponed.

A match rained off in May. Only in England. (Or Scotland...)

    Tonight - they go again.

  11. No Powell?published at 18:37 British Summer Time 12 May 2014

Wigan may be without top scorer Nick Powell tonight after he pleaded guilty to drink driving at Crewe Magistrates.

The on-loan Manchester United man has been handed a 14-month driving ban and ordered to pay a £5,000 fine after being arrested in Crewe driving a Corsa.

    Living the Manchester United dream...

    Team news coming up.

Friday's first leg between the two sides ended in a goalless draw at the DW Stadium so it's all down to tonight for the right to face Derby at Wembley on Saturday 24 May.

Will last year's FA Cup winners Wigan return to the top flight? Can 'Arry Redknapp win promotion in his first play-off campaign?

It's a familiar route for Wigan fans.

An early start, meet up with the lads, load up on supplies and then hop on the 09.29 train from platform four at Wigan North Western.

Get off at Crewe - never forget to change at Crewe - and it's the 10.22 from platform five to London Euston. Plenty of songs, a few cans and a round of sandwiches later and it's into the big smoke.

A short walk down to Euston Square and it's up the Metropolitan Line to Wembley Park.

Wigan have been to Wembley four times in the last 13 months - but they wouldn't mind a fifth trip. Beat QPR tonight and the Latics will be piling south one more time...
