"Colombia had a good start against Greece in the first game. This time they started well but didn't get the goal and Ivory Coast are looking a bit more comfortable."

BBC World's John Bennett in Brasilia: "He may be on the bench but Ivory Coast veteran Kolo Toure is getting involved in this game.

"He just launched himself out of the dug out to scream at the defenders, waving his bib in the air."

More jeers ring out as former Leeds player Max Gradel fires in a cross more likely to be seen in the Championship than the World Cup stage. The ball bounces out of play. Who will break the deadlock?

Another lightning break from Colombia but Didier Zokora is ice cool as he deals with the danger and denies Teofilo Gutierrez a scoring chance. Gutierrez is enduring a frustrating match. He's still haunted by that earlier miss.

BBC World's John Bennett: "Every time Yaya Toure picks up the ball he's being followed by Carlos Sanchez. They'll be sick of the sight of each other after this game.

"Sabri Lamouchi - the Ivory Coast head coach - looks very concerned about the amount of space his full backs are giving away. He's constantly shouting at Arthur Boka.

"James Rodriguez and Pablo Armero are swinging their arms in the air asking for more support from the fans."

Philip Foyoo Ashon:, external What a miss from Colombia. Will they live to regret it? I think so. Ivory Coast can win this. ‏

How costly will Teofilo Gutierrez's miss prove? The Ivory Coast respond through Serge Aurier who glides past Mario Yepes before forcing a save with a low drive.

"What a break from Colombia. Gutierrez should have scored, it was an open goal, he really fluffed his lines. That is an incredible miss."

    Howard Webb sprays the pitch

"Two great passes to create that chance for Colombia. Gutierrez had so much time to think what he was doing but even so he seemed to semi-stumble when the ball came to him. He seemed to plant his feet rather than swinging through.

"But he might have been just offside - that's a let off for Howard Webb and his boys if that had gone in."

Ivory Coast can count themselves fortunate to be on level terms as the ball lands at the feet of Teofilo Gutierrez on the edge of the six-yard area. But the striker gets himself into a terrible tangle and can't direct the ball over the line.

Replays show he was in an offside position but no flag is raised.

"Good movement from Tiote. It opened up for him and he should be hitting the target from there. He never really got hold of it."

  15. Postpublished at 17:29 British Summer Time 19 June 2014

It's tense, it's nervy, it's edgy. Neither side is giving much away. Cheick Tiote blazes a rare chance over the bar from just outside the Colombian area. It is going to require something much better than that to break the deadlock.

"Gervinho is the kind of player who needs some loving and with the all the superstars at Arsenal, he probably didn't have time for that.

"Ivory Coast couldn't really drop Wilfried Bony, but I can see them playing 70 minutes of Bony and 20 minutes of Didier Drogba. And if they're really in trouble then you leave both on."

First real sign of attacking intent from Ivory Coast as Yaya Toure powers into the Colombian half before threading a pass to Gervinho on the edge of the area. But the former Arsenal man runs into a yellow wall. Little between the two sides.

"You get the feeling that something good is going to happen in this game - apart from the Mexican Wave which has already started.

"But attacking moves from both teams just seem to break down because the ball skids off the turf which was heavily watered before kick-off. There is a little bit more about the Colombians at the moment."

Less than 20 minutes in and the first Mexican Wave begins. This is actually a decent contest between two fully committed teams. Not sure, however, we're going to see the goal fest we witnessed yesterday between Australia and Netherlands.
