"You can see this win means so much to the Algeria players, their performance was outstanding. From the first goal you couldn't really see anything other than an Algeria victory.

"Maybe it's because we're playing in Brazil but teams seem set on going out and scoring goals at this World Cup. Today we saw a motivated Algeria side go out and take charge of a match they deserved to win."

"South Korea were absolutely woeful in the first half, that kind of performance is not acceptable at this level of football and they paid the price. In the second half they freshened it up and looked better but Algeria definitely deserved to win.

"In the first half Algeria came out with a really high tempo, they played some nice football and the fourth goal was a really good team goal."

Lawro may have been a little bit out there. But who honestly predicted a six-goal thriller between these two? And it's not even over yet.

There's a delay in play as Islam Slimani goes down with cramp. Algeria have started running down the clock.
