So who is going to be a hero? Fifteen minutes of football before the lottery of penalties. You can be sure there will be a chance for someone, will they be able to take it?

"You can sit and watch this all night - it's been fantastic quality."
David Ornstein
BBC Sport in Belo Horizonte
"There are a lot of tired legs out there and that's resulting in a noticeable drop in quality and intensity. One man who still looks as fresh now as he did in the first minute, though, is Chile coach Jorge Sampaoli - the Argentine continuing to pace around his technical area at a rate of knots. Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has also been on his feet for the first half of extra time, barking instructions to his weary players."
Alexis Sanchez strikes the free kick woefully wide and that is that. Fifteen minutes away from a penalty shootout.
Chile have a free-kick 35 yards out from goal in the dying seconds of the half as Dani Alves is booked...
Ash Patel:, external Howard Webb is a very brave referee. He has controlled the game and allowed no backchat.
Garreth Frank:, external It's a good job Howard Webb looks like he can handle himself because he might face some aggro in Brazil later.
Bankim Patel:, external Good to see impartial referee, not succumbing to crowd and home pressures.
Chile are virtually non existent as an attacking force but it only takes one minute to win a game and break the hearts of a nation - one minute of the first half of extra time left.
Chile substitute Mauricio Pinilla is booked for a cynical tackle on David Luiz.
Hulk drives a shot low down from 20 yards but Claudio Bravo parries away.
Hulk has been brilliant for Brazil. This time he works his way to the byeline on the right before standing a cross up to the far post and Oscar. The Chelsea man heads straight at Claudio Bravo. Brazil on top.
Sun sports journalist Charlie Wyett:, external Watching Brazil live on TV while on plane to Recife certainly an experience. Pilot asked fans to stop celebrating because plane was wobbling.
Half a chance for Brazil's Jo but he slips before getting his shot away. The former Manchester City man receives the ball inside the area but falls and the ball bobbles back to Claudio Bravo.

"Since half-time Brazil have not really created too much. It is just long balls punted forward to Jo and he cannot control it."
The noise coming from the Estadio Mineirao is incredible as the Brazil fans look to get their side over the line. This is a lot more tense than a lot of them ever imagined though. Six minutes of the first half of extra time to go.
Brazil's last three World Cup extra-time appearances have all gone to penalties (SF v Netherlands 98 (Won), final v Italy 94 (Won), QF v France 86 (Lost).
Martin in Fareham via text: I will be more disappointed if Chile are knocked out than when it happened to England. They have been superb.
Steve in Lincoln via text: Great to watch the Chile coach doing the mileage in the technical area - prowling tiger or what.
James in Southsea via text: I really hope Chile progress. They're more industrious. And what an upset it would be.
Chile need to take the sting out of a very fired up Brazil. The fans are up, the players are up and Chile are under pressure.
That won't help as Marcelo Diaz wellies a free-kick out for a goal kick. Needless and aimless.
Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo is rolling around the ground after being tackled by Jo. The Chile goalkeeper seems hesitant in going for a hopeful long ball and is caught by the lunging Jo.
Jo is booked - a little harshly.
