    Colombia will play Uruguay in the last 16, with the two sides meeting this Saturday at 21:00 BST.

    Meanwhile, Greece's reward for that most dramatic of wins means they take on Group D surprise package Costa Rica on Sunday, also at 21:00.

    So these are the final standings in Group C. Despite a brief fightback by Japan, Colombia never moved off top spot and they progress as Group C winners. Greece, meanwhile, move above Ivory Coast to take second.

    All over in Cuiaba and it is an easy win for Colombia as they progress as Group C winners. Faryd Mondragon saw a bit of action on his historic night, making one save in what was his first competitive appearance in nine years.

    Seconds after the game restarts after Georgios Samaras's goal, the full-time whistle goes. The Greece bench races on to the pitch, the Ivory Coast players slump on the floor. Ivory Coast goalkeeper Boubacar Barry is stretched out on the pitch, head on the grass. The cruellest of ways to go out, but fantastic stuff from Greece.

    If you drew Colombia in the office sweepstake, start believing now. Colombia wrap up a comprehensive win in style as the excellent James Rodriguez scampers away down the left, turns Southampton man Maya Yoshida inside out and fires home. Job done.

    The win wrapped up, Colombia boss Jose Pekerman gives substitute goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon his moment to make history. The 43-year-old goalkeeper comes on for David Ospina to become the oldest player to play at a World Cup, displacing previous record holder Cameroon's Roger Milla.

    He may have a surname that sounds like a character from a Rocky film, but he now has his name in the history books.

    Japan's World Cup journey is over as Jackson Martinez puts this game beyond them with his second of the game. James Rodriguez is again the architect of the goal, wiping out the Japan defence with a smart ball for Martinez to run on to and he fires home from inside the box.
