"The Netherlands will be delighted to have Robin van Persie back, and are slight favourites, but no more than that. It would be a mild surprise if Mexico won, but not a shock.

"This part of the world is not uncommon territory for the Central American teams. Mexico are missing the suspended Jose Vasquez, but they still have a strong team - and they were fantastic against Brazil."

Full commentary with Pat and Conor McNamara is on BBC Radio 5 live. Build-up starts from 16:00 BST.

  4. Costa Rica v Greece (21:00 BST)published at 15:52 British Summer Time 29 June 2014

BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson: "Like most people, I did not see either of these sides being in the last 16, but Costa Rica's performances prove Jurgen Klinsmann was right - the United States boss told me to watch out for them two years ago.

"Greece, for me, still play too much anti-football. I know there is nothing wrong with a team defending and playing on the counter-attack but I want Costa Rica to win and I reckon it will be 2-0."

Ted Saker-Clark:, external Belgium were the dark horses at the beginning at the tournament and I think they might win the tournament.

Richard Southworth:, external Brazil and Argentina are looking beatable, and Netherlands and Colombia are looking dangerous. Reckon there'll be a new winner.

Robert Young:, external Probably the best equipped non-winner of the World Cup left is Colombia.

Fifa confirms it is investigating a case of alleged violence by a member of the Brazilian FA (CBF) during yesterday's game between Brazil and Chile.

Brazilian newspaper Globoesporte claims a Brazilian official punched Chile player Mauricio Pinilla during the half-time interval.

A Fifa spokeswoman, Delia Fischer, confirmed the governing body was aware of the alleged incident.

"Fifa's disciplinary committee is analysing the matter," said Fischer.

BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson: "This one is going to be quite a close call.

"Although the Netherlands have been great so far and won all three games, I am looking at them and thinking that this could be the match where they slip up or, at the very least, do not have things all their own way.

"The reason I would still tip the Dutch to win, however, is they have got more match-winners than the Mexicans. I think it will finish Netherlands 1-0 Mexico."

If Mexico are to progress to the quarter-finals they will have to keep it tight at the back against a free-scoring Netherlands team.

The Dutch hit 10 goals in their opening three games at this tournament, and Mexico's goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa will be a key player in the last-16 clash in Fortaleza.

Let's take a closer look at the man who must keep Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben at bay.

    Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa

Ochoa starred for El Tri, keeping a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Cameroon before almost single-handedly defying Brazil in the goalless draw in the Maracana.

The 28-year-old's first-half save from Neymar in that match drew comparisons with Gordon Banks's stop from Pele, external in the 1970 finals.

Currently out of contract after leaving French side Ajaccio at the end of last season, he has been linked with Atletico Madrid and Arsenal.

Probably a good idea, given that this was what it was like on Thursday when the United States played Germany.

Darius Ikyanyon:, external If Nigeria defeat France tomorrow - which they should - then the World Cup trophy will be heading straight to Africa.

Brad Henson:, external Colombia can do it. The way they played yesterday was fantastic and I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Brazil to reach the semi-finals.

Churchman Duza:, external None of the non-winners remaining can win the World Cup. They will fall away when it matters most.

Netherlands midfielder Wesley Sneijder tells Fifa.com, external that his team-mates are fresh and raring to go for the clash with Mexico after enjoying an extra 24 hours rest than their opponents.

"A day extra to recover is pretty important," he says. "It's the end of the season, everyone has played a lot of games, and those three matches in the group stage were pretty tough.

"The intensity with which we played in those games was high. Getting an extra day is definitely a positive and we've used it in the best way we could - by clearing our minds. Now everyone's focusing and preparing for the game against Mexico."

Matthew Williams:, external Imagine if Greece won it again, their team spirit is second to none and that would make a great film alongside the Euro 2004 win!

None of the countries in action this evening have ever won the World Cup. In fact, of those sides now left in the tournament only Brazil, Argentina, Germany and France have lifted the trophy.

USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann has told his squad to change their flights home until after the World Cup, such is his belief that they could pull off a surprise.

With Colombia, Nigeria, Algeria, Netherlands, Mexico, Costa Rica, Greece, Switzerland, Belgium and USA all still left in, could we see a new name engraved on the World Cup?

Could it be like Greece at Euro 2004 and be one of the game's less heralded names going all the way? Or will one of the big guns triumph in the end?

So we want to know: Can one of the less fancied nations go on and win it? Don't just give us the team who could spring a surprise - we want to know why you think Costa Rica, for example, could win the World Cup?
