They remain in a number of conversations as they search for a back-up central defender and a holding midfielder, but currently it looks like nobody will be arriving at Emirates Stadium. Reading had two further targets but one is joining a Premier League club and another a top-flight European team. Gary Hooper and Dean Hammond had also been targets but those deals have stalled.
