"Anywhere else on the pitch and that's a foul. It's a scissor-type challenge and it should be a penalty."

Good play from England again, Raheem Sterling at the heart of it with a fine first-time pass to pick out Jordan Henderson. His cross is palmed away, it rolls to Fabian Delph who is taken down by a sliding Johan Djourou.
At first sight I thought that was a great challenge - but actually it should be a spot-kick. Rash from Djourou and unlucky for England. Good move though.
Into the last 10 minutes and Swiss replacement Josip Drmic looks very, very lively. The Bayer Leverkusen man looks a real threat. Phil Jagielka just gets a toe in and whips it away from him.

"England have to be wary and maintain concentration. When you get tired the first thing that goes is the concentration and that will be key for the rest of the game."
Meanwhile, Tim Cahill is back in England bundling in goals from close range. The New York Red Bulls midfielder, late of Everton and Millwall, scored the opener for Australia in a friendly against Saudi Arabia at Craven Cottage.
Crystal Palace defender Mile Jedinak has also found the net and the Socceroos are 2-0 up. A little under an hour gone.
I can't think of a better donkey for the England side than Lee Cattermole.
Anyway, Phil Jones' hamstring finally gives up on him, and Phil Jagielka takes that role at centre-half. Phil for Phil change.
From Andy: Wilshere clearly isn't a defensive midfielder; Hodgson needs to make a decision between him and Delph on the left side of the diamond and call up a dedicated holding midfielder like Lee Cattermole to do the donkey work.
He was offside - clearly offside - but what a ball this is! Swiss sub Josip Drmic plays a magnificent pass with the outside of his foot and Haris Seferovic slams a volley against the crossbar. It wouldn't have counted but brilliant play nonetheless.
Ian Marks: , externalSwiss players moaning to the referee about handball as if their striker wasn't offside at all
That change has now seen Jordan Henderson move into the centre of the midfield and James Milner on the right. Energy, energy...
MOTD presenter Gary Lineker
"When did scoring goals become so difficult?............There you go. Not so difficult after all."
Fifty caps (50) for James Milner as he replaces Jack Wilshere. He is the man to see games out, he's made a career out of it.
Former Wales midfielder Robbie Savage
"Joe Hart - England's best player tonight."
Nick in London: Romania held on. Albania held on...Come on England!!!
Gary Cahill to the rescue! Swiss sub Josip Drmic looks slightly offside as he gets in behind England, one on one, he skips round a slipping Joe Hart and has the goal at his mercy - but Cahill makes a sliding block on the line.
Brilliant defending, but the Swiss want a penalty as the ball hits his arm on the floor. It would be very harsh...
Raheem Sterling does it again, brilliant run as he beats two men for strength and pace before skipping into the box. He goes to shoot but Stephan Lichtsteiner makes a fine block.
At the corner, Phil Jones pings a hamstring.

"It's been a massive improvement from the World Cup and obviously what it was against Norway."
Sloppy, sloppy from Jack Wilshere. As careless as it gets, chipping the ball straight to a red shirt and Switzerland counter at pace, putting a dangerous cross into the box which Phil Jones stretches to hook clear.
OptaJoe, external: Raheem Sterling assists his first goal for England in his ninth appearance for the nation. Blooming.
